I did what you're not supposed to do and pulled off a repeat of last year's costume (Bluto from "Animal House", I made the COLLEGE sweater myself, too) and went to a party at a friend's house Saturday.

I took a trip into Virginia, where we then went into Georgetown to an apartment party and then down to M street. Big mess of a night, with the bars packed. I was a convict, but wasn't in the costume long, because the torso wasn't large enough (or I have a large torso, take your pick) and it was extremely uncomfortable and a little too revealing down below. My ex-roomie was a construction worker, his two (female) roommates were sexy firefighters. The night ended when firefighter 1 fell down the steps on M street (stiletto heels and concrete steps don't mix) and we decided to limp home and sleep in our own beds (or in my case, my old couch).

I was Pai Mei from Kill Bill Vol. 2. When the pics are developed, I'll post one. We had a costume dance at the college where I teach. 200 people showed up, which is HYUGE for around here. The previous record was 70 attendees. Winners of our costume contests include a sumo wrestler, a bloody tampon, a quartet of gangstas and a car wreck victim.

Well trick or treat was Saturday, got me two 40's of mickey's, a bottle of vodka, sat on the porch and watched the kids walk by, then watched these middle aged folks across the street make asses of themselves.
