I think we did this last year. What are you (especially you regulars) doing for Halloween? More importantly, how will you be dressed?

I will be attending a charitable benefit for an inner city youth arts charity. With the theme being "Trashtastic", it's only fitting that my beloved and I will be going as Britney Spears and Kevin Federline.

She will be Britney, but only because she has a slightly better ass than I do. With luck, there will be decnt pics of this.

The Calgary Sports Club is throwing a party tonight at Ceili's, a decent Irish pub downtown. I have been really busy with work and trying to find a better job, so I left things to the last minute.

A quick trip to Value Village, and presto...I'm a vampire. Weak, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. It should be interesting trying to apply makeup for the first time in my life later today.

I've got a group of friends that I'll be getting together with tonight. We don't dress up (we're poor and not horribly creative), but last year we went to a local theater for midnight showings of Dead Alive/Braindead and Suspiria on consecutive weekends. The theater's showing The Fly (Cronenberg, not Neumann) tonight, so instead of seeing that, it's a Dario Argento marathon on IFC, and we're staying in for that. Dinner and/or beverages will probably be served as well.

Yes, I'm boring.

...and then having an Invader Zim marathon and forcing large amounts of candy on what few children come to the door. If the Raiders fans don't eat them.

I already went to my main party for the weekend, a drunken affair full of co-workers and an open bar. The only downside of those sorts of things is that you never want to do anything that will make the next work day REALLY awkward. I have learned this lesson and avoided it this time. Tonight is a low key gathering, and I likely will just wear the robes of the costume for tonight. I went as:

Probably a bandwagon Red Sox fan (heist A-Rod t-shirt, modify as needed), although I thought of a couple of good ideas. Too bad they wouldn't be practical... imagine playing Donkey Konga with two or three bodies hanging off of you.

I had a couple friends over to watch Halloween tonight.

Tomorrow I'll be going over to a female friend's house with some others to watch any combination of Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween: H20, The Thing, The Terminator, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Cardboard box with holes cut for my arms and my eyes, the words "Lame Costume" written on it.

I came in second at my work's costume contest over two chicks in bondage.

Any other opponent and I'd say you got jobbed. This time, though...the right two won.

As for myself, I take off my glasses and have my Halloween fun as a person with above-average vision. No driving, obviously.

Well, I managed to pull off something half-decent, given the last minute attitude I had.

When did kids stop telling jokes on Halloween? Or even wearing costumes? This seems less like Halloween and more like an average day on the bus.

Kim is dressed as a Brownie...or is it a girl guide? I don't remember. The weird thing about her costume is that it's her uniform from when she was 12 years old...and she still fits in it at 37.

My business partners and I ventured out this year dressed as Bell Biv Devoe. As I'm the tallest, I was designated as Devoe. Which sucked, because we all know Slick always had the best lines.

Regardless, we all sent out some words to your muthas.
