Remember when Microsoft seemed like the bad guy? What the hell happened to Nintendo?

But remember back when the NES or Famicom was the console of choice?

Nintendo was pretty good back then at playing the lawsuit card or just bullying suppliers / developers to maintain their family friendly image and not make the same mistakes as Atari. (No Custers Revenge NES port)

A Link for people wanting to bone up on their retro gaming knowledge (classic gaming, part of the gamespy network). The whole history of gaming and who screwed who is fascinating. You couldn't invent a better story.

Big G, I'd like to thank you for making me click on that link. It lead me to read Roger Ebert's review of THE WIZARD, which in turn made me nitice that Todd Holland directed it.

Todd Holland help create The Larry Sanders Show, Malcolm In The Middle, and Wonderfalls.

I'm glad to see he got more work after the Wizard bombed so badly.

It was just a mistake. At least Nintendo was big enough to own up to it and apologize.

Hmm. I guess the question I have to ask is, "How do I get Nintendo to accidentally threaten me with litigation so I can get a free Nintendo system and game of my choice as a gesture of goodwill?"
