The more I think about it, why did they have to have a character named "Charlie"? ... I still associate that name with Matthew Fox ...

Actually, I've been referring to Matthew Fox's character as "Charlie" since the premiere, and I just can't shake the habit. ;-)
Seriously though, do ya think they went a little overboard with the symbolism when they gave Jack the last name "Shepherd?"
