TNA Impact will be shown weekly on TSN in Canada, starting November 1st at 3pm CST. Scott D'Amore is the source. The show will be current and up-to-date from the beginning, and this is one week before the big pay-per-view. Allegedly, TNA Explosion (or whatever the other show is called) will be on free TV in Canada "very soon" as well.

That's a pretty good timeslot for them. Although, there's often golf, curling and tennis that usually runs right up to RAW on Monday's. TSN replays RAW a couple times so they'll probably do that with Impact as well.

That's great to hear. I've always thought of TNA as good enough to follow but not good enough to pay to watch very week. TSN must think TNA's going to build a following, as not only are they airing Impact but they've been using TNA PPV reruns as one of the main selling points for ESPN Classic Canada since that deal started in August. If they can get some promotion I wouldn't be surprised to see them do well up here. Team Canada will be a hit with a lot of people if nothing else.

Ditto. I'm willing to give TNA a chance just to see Johnny Devine get much-deserved national attention.

Golf shouldn't be too much of a problem considering it's usually from Thursday to Sunday. The other two, I think they can work around it, most full coverage tennis events TSN shows are only majors... A part of me is surprised they picked it up considering their deep tie in with WWE, I would have imagined that a station like Sportsnet to pick it up as they have a good relationship with Fox Sports. But VitoMark brings up a good point of old NWATNA PPV's was a big promotion for TSN selling it's sister network. I wonder how The E feels about this.

I would have been more excited about this a year ago, as I haven't been hearing too much of anything concerning NWATNA(gawd they need a name change, TNA sounds so cheesy). Actually I'm more concerned if CMLL is coming back instead of AAA that was on this week than if I get NWA or not... It's kind of lame having to wait 3 full days after the U.S showing but uh what can you do. WAIT I just thought of something, are the NWA PPV's are going to be on Sunday now or Wednesday? Because if it's Sunday, how ineffective will Friday pre-PPV hype show be when seen on Monday in Canada? Did they even think of that lol.

I don't imagine WWE is going to celebrate TSN's new partnership, but I don't think they much care either. TSN was also showing Nitro as far back as 1997. If they didn't care much about WCW, I doubt they care about TNA. Vince even mentioned them by name during his most recent Off The Record interview and his implication was right, they aren't a threat to WWE at this point, not even close. A Monday afternoon timeslot on TSN might help them a bit in Canada, but they have so far to go before they threaten WWE up here it's stupid. If WCW couldn't do it, what chance does TNA have?

Still, you'd think that if WWE has any pull (or at least whenever it comes time to sign a new agreement with TSN), they might get the network to push TNA onto a different day.

Personally, I'm all for it. Because of the cost, I've only watched a handful of TNA PPV's over the years, and I don't subscribe to the ESPN Classic channel. So at least here's a chance to check out what's going on...
