Hey, I'm a Titans fan through & through, but damn ... I just had to comment on the Patriots getting their 19th consecutive win today. I know they beat the Titans twice last year (in two very good game I might add), but I can't help but pull for them in some small way ... it's gonna take a piss-poor game by them to get beat, as they have all the tools to go to the big game in January again this year ...

Of course, now I've just jinxed them.

Amen! Go Patriots, 'cause boy, do my Brownies SUCK.

I know it is a near impossibility, but I would LOVE to see the Pats go undefeated this year, just to rub it in those smug '72 Dolphin faces. Also, it is looking like Pats/Jets is going to be a fantabulous game.

Speaking as a Dolphins fan, I hope they do, too. I hate the Pats with a passion, but I also respect the hell out of them as well. But I've always thought the 72s were getting to the point of being a bunch of pompous asses about the undefeated thing, as if no one has a right to do it but them. But I can understand, since really that's their corner of history. Doesn't mean they aren't douches now and will continue to be through the season.

Although, if they pop champagne for when the last undefeated team loses, do the 76 Bucs unscrew a bottle MD 2020 when the last winless team wins?

Congratulations, Pats for having the record all to yourself, being more impressive in doing it and setting it at a time when NO team wins 19 in a row.

Also, thanks for solving Miami's QB controversy by killing both of them (Fiedler, broken ribs; Feely, post-thinks-he's-Batman syndrome).

I have over the last few years considered the Patriots like a distant cousin because of the featured UM connection with TY LAW and Tom Brady. Because of those two guys, I have rooted for them in the playoffs because the Lions had been dead since the preseason and no one else was worth rooting for. But now the Lions are on a collision course with destiny, headed for the Super Bowl, and I can only assume we'll be meeting the Patriots. So, with regards to the future, I can't really be rooting for New England to win games. More impressive: Patriots 19 straight wins in parity era of the NFL where everyone sucks, or Lions being 2-0 on the road this season after NFL landmark six billion consecutive road losses? You decide.

Chris Collinsworth said as much during an "Inside the NFL" show near the end of last years regular season. He said, to paraphrase, "With the salary cap and free agency era in the NLF now, it is impossible for one team to assemble as much talent as the 85 Bears had. So to look at what NE has done, if they do go on to win the SB you have to consider them among the all-time great teams."

If he comes in and leads the Dolphins on a tremendous winning streak, you can know we're passing along the favor the Jets' Mo Lewis did us when he lit up Drew Bledsoe and paved the way for Brady to take over.

Geeheehee. I shouldn't take pleasure in the pain of others, but YEESH they gotta at least try blocking. Maybe go with the Ron Dayne block: stand there and let 'em run into you. The Bengals were just killing Feeley dead in that Sunday night game.

The Pats are a great team, but I hope against hope they don't go undefeated this year.

Go Jets, even if your schedule's been pretty light so far this year.

I think the Pats are a great all around team. But I don't think any team can go undefeated for an entire season... Much like I said on the Seahawks thread, way too difficult not to have an off week or look past a certain team especially if you have a large lead in the final third of the season.

OK...you're crazy.

The 'Hawks are good, but not good enough to beat Brady and Co. in The Razor (Hey yo)...er, Gillette Stadium.

WOW! What a streak! Too bad the Jets might win the division this season!

JETS! Undefeated! Who would have thought?

Outside of ultimate homer Jet fans (redundant?), probably not many. Gotta love those J-E-T-S JETSJETSJETS fans though. They're the NFL equivalent of Red Sox fans.

To be serious, considering the knock on the Pats during the winning streak is that "they don't blow anyone out"; in the Jets home game victories, they played against teams that have 1 win each and won those 3 games by a combined total of 17 points.

Seattle is a better team than the Jets. If they couldn't beat the Pats in Foxboro, the Jets chances don't look that good to do it either. Now the week after when the Pats go to Pittsburg is when I see their streak possibly coming to an end.

I am a huge Pats fan, and have enjoyed every victory. What continues to impress me is the Pats wins have rarely been convincing - the majority of the games have been close, with a good number of 4th quarter game-winning drives needed - even if they then tack on a few more points to make the final score not as close as the game really was.

Brady is the Man, but I fear the Pats won't get by the Colts again, who will lose in the SuperBowl to Philly. The Pats very well may go undefeated until the AFC championship game.

The Pats will either dump one to St Louis, Baltimore, or the Jets at home in the regular season or 2 of the 3 of those. They've gotta lose at least one with parity ... right? The Colts are still the team they have to get passed though, and the Colts still make me more nervous than anyone in the NFC. I still feel that NE has the huge coaching advantage in big games. Dungy still needs to win one, while Bellichick has already won many.

No no you have it wrong. The Colts are not the team to get passed. Its the Pats that everyone else need to get past. The Colts need to prove that they can come to NE and win a game. Even if the colts never lose again for the rest of the season the pats need to lose 3 games or somehow have the Jets win the East or Manning and company will be up here in the middle of winter.
