I should have known I was jinxing them when I told my wife I hadn't seen a Seahawks defense play this well since the early to mid 80's.

I should have known I was jinxing them when I took such delight in the Rams meltdown against the Saints in overtime a few weeks ago and the general "stupidity" of Mike Martz.

That was an epic collapse, and has turned next week's matchup of undefeated teams into the Patriots trying to extend a streak and the Hawks being suddenly in a must-win situation (and really, is there any better must win situ to have than needing to beat the defending champs and current faves to repeat on the road??)

To make matters worse personally, I lost my fantasy game to my old roommate who is also a Rams fan. I didn't answer the phone when he (and/or his wife) called.

Why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why do THEY ALWAYS DO THIS TO ME, and more importantly, why do I continue to let them?

Stupid all-out blitz.

And don't forget being up 17 with 5 and change to go and being a 7 point favorite. Coupled with Zona blowing a 16 point lead late, it wasn't a good day out of the NFC West. Considering this game and the Baltimore fiasco from last year, someone really needs to teach the Seahawks that regulation has 60 minutes, not 55 if you have more than a 2 touchdown lead. Considering the Patriots find ways to win and the Seahawks find ways to lose, I can't see them going into Foxboro and keeping #20 from occurring.

Because you're a fan, and that's what fans do. They root root root for the home team, even when they should know better.

Keep the chin up -- you guys are heading for a better year than we are.

I wouldn't be too concerned, I like Seattle's offense a lot and their defense isn't as poor as other powerful offenses in the league. They did have a real bad final 5 minutes, but I really think it's just a brain freeze and will be viewed as a temporary hiccup in a couple of weeks... After next weeks Pats game I could see smooth sailing until mid December.

That collapse was almost up there with Tampa's implosion against the Colts last year for shock value. Not that I think Seattle are gonna do as good a job of blow8in the rest of their season from here on as Tampa did.

The offense has still got plenty weapons and the D, while not as great as they appeared earlier, aren't as bad as they played last night.

They're certainly the team I'd worry most about facing in the NFC. Vick and the Falcons are ridiculously over-rated, Bulgers error prone for the Rams, the Saints look like under acheiving again, and the Viks still have much bigger holes on defence than Seattle.

I would have to agree with the Slasher on this one. I watched the game and it seemed like the Seahawks just let down a little bit. They really could have buried the Rams in the first half, but did not. As a Giants fan, we have seen this phenomenon a lot on the east coast. Hang in there, DrewDeuce, the Hawks will rebound.

Oh and by the way, the Giants are 4-1 heading into their bye week. Whodathunkit? Certainly not me.
