Wrestlemania XX and Backlash with Shawn Michaels and Triple-H Bad Blood with Kane Vengeance with Triple-H and of course Summer Slam with Randy Orton
Triple-H must be the runner up with 5 main events. Royal Rumble vs. Michaels Wrestlemania XX and Backlash with Michaels and Benoit Vengeance with Benoit and Unforgiven with Orton (and the upcoming Taboo Tuesday main event.)
When I say main event I count only one match, the final match(no double main events counted)..otherwise Eddie Guerrerro would have 4 (Backlash,Judgement Day, GAB and Wrestlemania XX) but, not including WM he has 3.
Same goes for JBL (Judgement Day, GAB and Summer Slam) with the SS main event nod going to Benoit v. Orton.
The only other person with 3 (legitimate) main events is HBK(Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania XX and Backlash. Orton follows with his 2 (Summer Slam and Unforgiven.) | Gugs

I'm actualy counting the Benoit match over the cell because of the title on line in Benoit's match. Otherwise H is up 6-4 and this ups HBK 1 mainevent (still the headliner) by 1, too. | OlFuzzyBastard

I always see the final match on the show as the main event. For shows like the Royal Rumble or Bad Blood or the Bash where there's a title match as second-to-last and the last is non-title, both are considered main event. And WrestleMania gets 3 spots because we had the two biggest title matches, plus the "Special Attraction" Kane/Taker match.

But the Cell was the focus of the PPV *and* the last match. The world title was a minor issue for that show while the two real stars had the main event.
"And WrestleMania gets 3 spots because we had the two biggest title matches, plus the "Special Attraction" Kane/Taker match."
I don't see how Kane/Taker was any bigger than Rock & Sock vs. Evolution or Goldberg vs. Lesnar. In fact, card placement aside, I think the three special attraction matches were bigger selling points for the show for the casual fan than the two title matches. So what I'm saying is ... five main events.
That's different from a previous Wrestlemania with a lot of big matches, because this was a special case where they all got close to equal promotion and prominence in the advertising. WM18 was Rock and Hogan, of course, and you can count the HHH/Jericho title match just to be nice. The most hyped match at WM19 was Hogan/Vince, which was super lame, and then you'd also count Austin/Rock as the other side's main event, and, again, Angle/Lesnar to be nice and since it went last. I wouldn't count Booker/HHH. WM17 was all Austin/Rock. But WM20 ... five main events.
Similarly, SummerSlam was the reverse of Mania, whereas instead of five superbly built matches, they had four mediocre ones that more or less shared, poorly, the main event.
