I remember the first time I watched Psycho and being scared out of my wits watching this innocent women slowly being stalked. For that performance alone, I've always thought that Janet Leigh was one of the greats. She'll be missed.

Innocent woman? No way. That was one of the major points of Psycho...the fact that she was STEALING and CHEATING and got killed while on the lam. In fact, her heel turn is quite apparent by her change early in the movie from white bra to BLACK BRA~! | odessasteps

In the beginning, when she's fooling around with John Gavin and talking about stealing the money, it's a black bra.
Later, in the motel, after she's decided to turn herself in and return the money, she's wearing a white bra.
It's a face turn, not a heel turn.
And then, Norman does the Abby-like run-in and ruins Hitch's booking.
