If you don't feel like clicking the link, it says it's Michael Ian Black.

I second that sentiment.

I have no idea who that is, but no one knew of Conan before he got his gig.

Give it a chance, fellas.

Michael Ian Black is now best known for being on all those VH1 list shows, like "I love the 80s."

He was on Ed. Before that, he was on Viva Variety (wasn't he Johnny Blue Jeans) and part of the State.

I think his schtick, much like Kilborn's, would get old quickly hosting a talk show.

I DO know who he is, and feel he would SUCK MIGHTILY.

Of course, I didn't like Kilborn either, so for me it's a wash. ;-)

I liked Black on Remember the 80's and 90's, so I guess I can give him a shot.

He was annoying on the VH1 specials, but this, and this are both incredibly funny, so it could go either way. (And, even at his most annoying, he never hits quite the "man, I want to beat that guy to death with my bare hands" level that is Craig Kilborn, so it's still a win/win situation.)

Conan O'Brien was fairly well-known as a writer for SNL & the Simpsons before he got his gig.

Michael Ian Black is fairly well-known as a cast member on Ed (which had excellent writing), and obscurely known as a writer for The State and Viva Variety.

Did he present any hits by Wha-a-a-a-am! ?

Couldn't resist.

Seriously though, you say he was "Johnny Blue Jeans"? Hey, all the more reason not to stick around after Dave.

Well we agree on that. Kilborn was pitiful.

This guy can't be much worse, surely.

I liked Kilbourn; I'm gonna miss him.

I can't say that I know Black, but whenever I'm up late and watching TV, I'll check him out. I only watch the programs when there's a guest I want to see, but for hte most part, I don't bother.

My friend Jeremy made me watch Stella when he came to visit. I'm into quirky comedy, but it was too much for me.

Every other skit had a dildo in it. I doubt that's going to carry over well to late night.

I loathe Kilbourn, so I can honestly say I have only seen his show about four times. Black simply isnt funny. He's one of those guys who got a few people to laugh once or twice growing up, and thought it would be a great job.

If you are going to go I LOVE THE 80S for a host, get Hal Sparks. At least he has a personality.

I like MIB, and have since The State, and I liked Kilby back to his SportsCenter days, but I still couldn't choose either of them over Conan, who I've watched since day one.

I certainly wish CBS luck, as it's an unusual choice, but I'd TiVo MIB and watch Conan for sure.

He looked pretty comfortable as guest host, and I kinda thought it would either be him or DL Hughley, who also looked good.

I'd have gone with DL, even if I'm not a big fan of his comedy.

Dave Letterman's company produces the show, right? Because his company also produced "Ed" and...well, you get the idea.
