And I think the rest of the league knows this. He's just not a good baseball player anymore. And, if he was any kind of a stand up guy, he'd take the blame when he screws up. But he doesn't, and Sammy only seems to care about Sammy. How about running hard in case your home run ball hits the top of the fence?

This, I don't agree with. Sammy had a bad year at the bat. Guys have bad years. He had one. But Damn, he played one of his best defensive years ever. I saw him hustle all the time. I can't fault him except that he never got going and struck out a lot more than usual.

But he got beaned early in the year and then he had "The Sneeze" and never came back. But I think after a good rest and recovery, he'll be back to good form next year. He is plus 35, so for most players who aren't on the super sauce, that means on the downward part of your career, but I'll take him for a few more.

I agree with Moises going tho...

I think Steve Stone is the best Color Analyst ever and sure hope he doesn't leave.

You really had Chris Carpenter going 15-5 with a 3.46 ERA coming into this season?

Eh, but Morris and Williams under-performed, so it's a wash.

Didn't Chip also get on Cubs management bad side when he gave some criticism... I like the Cubs but they can be so whiny at times.

This season was so disappointing, they just had to go .500 in the last 10 days and they were in... Cubs always break your heart.

No analysis needed on this one. Sports Illustrated picked them to win the Series, complete with a picture of Kerry Wood on the cover of the baseball preview. Case closed. The SI Curse bites again...
