I like the dynamic of the paralyzed brother and the suffering Dad and the growing up brother who is all about the supposedly lesbian girl (who's really all about him). And the main story and characters are strong.
I suppose it's become a favorite in our house - yours? | Promote this thread! | | pieman

| #3 Posted on 1.10.04 1539.35 Reposted on: 1.10.11 1541.56 | I've been big on the show since last season and even got to sit in on a Q&A with the cast earlier in the year. It had a good start last year, but I started falling a little out of it near the end of the season. Probably because the first 12 episodes were written from the time they started, and then when they were picked up for a full season, they had to put together the rest of the season and it probably wasn't as well written as the first 12, but still good nonetheless. It's a great concept and a show that can appeal to various age demographics. Plus there really is great chemistry within the cast, and even at the Q&A, they seemed like a real family.
Like I said, I didn't really get to see much of the final few episodes last season, so some stuff was new to me with the season opener last week, such as Joan going to the looney bin or whatever. But I think the season should pick up, and Amber Tamblyn is a great actress, period. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
