Reposted on: 1.10.11 1039.49 | I saw this Tuesday night at the Met. It is quite possibly one of the worst animated movies in recent memory that I've witnessed. Maybe even worse than Treasure Planet. Dreamworks needs to stop casting $20 million actors in their animated films and make sure they are actually GOOD first. The Pixar films would be nothing without the strong stories and well written characters. Shark Tale doesn't have either. So basically, fuck this movie. Dreamworks should be pushing Ghost In The Shell 2: Innocence more.

While i like bad movies, I dislike bad kids movies, so I'll avoid this like I avoid said ex-girlfriend :-)

Dude, Shark Tale could be worse than Manos and Breakin' combined and it'd STILL pull down more green than an adult-themed ultra-niche market manga movie. Why should Dreamworks fuck their biz up to satisfy the few hungry geeks out there who'd probably get all I-liked-this-before-it-was-cool pissy if GITS2 DID hit it big? | The Vile1

I don't care what a few annoying otakus think. Ghost In The Shell 2 is a great movie, and because of its poor distribution a lot of people that want to see it in theatres WILL NOT be able to. And as far as I'm concerned, the only way to watch Innocence is theatrically.
I'm not saying they should be releasing GITS2 in 4,000 theatres like this Shark Tale chum, but at least give it more than 50.
