The string of squash matches is really wearing on me. Isn't this the flagship show, now? Color me questioning, but why not put more effort into it? We could be having any number of build-ups and minor feuds going on in the intervening time between now and the PPV, but TNA just seems to be brain-farting with the whole damn midcard.

The main event was chock-full of pathos. But I just couldn't, for the life of me, look past all the damn glitches in the video. I mean, the performers put on a match that is emotionally charged, and the damnable production turns the whole effort into "just a bunch of stuff that happened".

My other gripe with the show (and its direction, lately) is Dusty Rhodes. I honestly don't give an F about this guy. I just FF through any segment he's in.

This show could be so much more than it is, if only some foresight and effort would be utilized.

I totally agree. I'm to the point now that I just read the spoilers and stop setting my VCR to tape it.

Plain & simple, Jeff Jarrett needs to put his ego aside and put the strap on ANYONE but himself.

And this whole crap with the tag team titles is, well, just stupid.

I think it would be a pretty big mistake for JJ to give someone else the belt any time before Victory Road...but I'll lay down a bet that he'll lose it there.

I'm not a big fan of the Tag Team angle but I thought the match was pretty good. I'm not sure what video glitches SHG is referring to...?

I, too, FF through all Dusty appearances.

Yeah. I'm not sure if they've simply decided to tread water 'til VR or what.

It might have been my cable channel, but about every 10 seconds the screen would become green fuzz. The audio was fine, but the video was...well, green.

Ah. Yeah, that must've been you -- mine was fine.

These guys are completely and utterly dropping the ball with IMPACT. I mean, think about it, with two less hours of TV per week to fill, they should be able to stack every card of every show, plus promote the next week's show with an advertised main event, all the while building to a card at VR that fans, hardcore and casual alike, would be excited for.

TNA is doing a DISMAL job of creating actual feuds featuring non-top tier talent. Guys are floating around, semi-directionless, in holding patterns while their heat diminishes. Promo time is becoming scarce (unless you are Jeff Jarrett or Dusty Rhodes, and really, do these guys have anything new to say?), and as such, new fans are being offered no reason to care.

The X Division used to be the crown jewel of the company, a place where solid feuds and incredible matches could flow from, but it has been turned into meaningless spotfests without import or chronology. A while back I suggested a rankings system that would at least give these matches *some* import, as fans can wrap their mind around #2 contender Chris Sabin facing #5 contender Michael Shane. I suggested the same for the tag division, as the Naturals, illogically, have been absent since losing the tag titles. Shouldn't they be sniffing around the titles? Even if you grant the possibility of unranked teams getting title shots, the sheer number of people with nothing doing right now astounds me. This comes at a time when the wrestlers are facing fewer paydays. This is the other side of giving wrestlers contracts rather than booking a few dates at a time. Morale becomes an issue, and it becomes YOUR issue.

And it looks like they are building to another King of the Mountain Match. But the funny thing is, I gleaned that from Xplosion, the so-called secondary show, which to me delivered more in the way of plot development and in-ring action. And that's a show that fans find difficult to catch, either because it is unavailable, or it comes on at times that are unfamiliar to the average fan (thank you, TiVo).

But I'm ranting now. TNA needs to get its head out of its ass and get it together. It has the tools, and if it doesn't get the job done, it has only itself to blame.

You are so correct madiq ... TNA is continuing to drop the ball with the X Division. They should really start to build to some sorta off-the-wall match for Victory Road for the X title ... I'm a fan of Kazarian & Shane, but I'd like to see them in the hunt for the tag titles, because I think they are an awesome team and I'm getting tired of AMW & Triple X ...

And is AJ Styles on the backburner now or am I just not as in tune with TNA as I used to be?
