I just looked at it for the first time in a couple of weeks, and was shocked at the results. Lita, who arguably had the toughest road, defeated Victoria in the first round, defeated Trish, who won the past couple of these tournaments, in the second round, and defeated Torrie in the semifinals. Now she's up against Stacy in the finals. My question is, how? I would have voted for her opponent in very matchup. Was it the pregnant glow? Is WWE fixing the results? It's just odd that she beat both defending champion Trish and Playboy covergirl Torrie in fan voting. | Promote this thread! |             | The Goon

Some rounds (for instance Gail vs TOrrie) lasted for days..
Others lasted for less than a full day, as in "we now have the result we want, close it up"
Coincidentally those were Stacy vs the fired Sable, Lita vs Trish and Lita vs Torrie.
Besides admitting I kept an eye on it, I must now admit I gave the results some thoughts too..(along with a friend of mine)
There are 2 options
1- Lita is supposed to win and it's rigged all the way.
2- Stacy has to win, so they fix it to give her a weak opponent and then give her a clean finals win.. | LanceJr

Come on! Have some fun with this. I don't mind the divas especially on WWE.com, and as long as they don't take up too much TV time, it's often a pleasant comic relief. It's also an opportunity for storyline progression - when done well (ie Trish and Jericho, Christian, etc.).
The Babe of the Year contest has not been plastered all over the TV this year, so that's a good thing. Of course, the divasearch crapfest has been atrocious...
And aside from Lita's otherwise horrible acting, her storyline has been pretty darn entertaining for most of this year - blowing off Christian, warning Trish, return of Mattitude, giving Kane a reason to entertain us, pregnancy test, telling Matt the results, marriage angle and ceremony, and finally SNITSKY - whose acting is even worse than she and Matt together! At least the writers are trying with her character to make her actions progress from week to week, and she hasn't had to blow too many spots or string too many lines together along the way. Give her credit, there aren't many ladies who could pull of this storyline as well as her...
Keeping a sense of humor about this is different than encouraging it or wanting it to be expanded beyond just a few minutes each week.

(Random thought, but just add another "O" to the contest initials and you got what it's really about.) Stacey has been beating some of the more competant female wrestlers, most notably Trish and Molly lately in spite of the fact that her primary function is not as a wrestler.
I agree that I would have voted for each of Lita's opponents over her in all of the categories. Stacey vs. Torrie would have been too hard to call since they're both blonde and well, everyone has seen Torrie's hooters and cooter, so that would have added points. Plus, having Lita def. Trish in the round would have eliminated the winner for 3 straight years. Either way, it looks like it's going to be a year of the WWE pushing Stacey down our throats.
