Grimace was always the representative for McDonalds shakes, so I always thought he was a walking bag of shake mix.
Besides, he predates McNuggets. | CRZ

Why would anyone start a newsgroup about fast food? | Stephanie

I went and checked out this group. It seems to be a forum for trashing McDonald's (both individual stores and the corporation as a whole), with occasional discussions regarding food and Happy Meal toys.
I was just hoping it wouldn't be a directory of dirty stories involving Ronald, Grimace, and the rest of the McDonaldland population.

Salon had two interesting articles a ways back about how seriously companies take their corporate mascots and how it all becomes pretty absurd. Here and here.
I think my favorite bizarre McDonald's reference is still from the Night After Night With Allan Havey season-finale cliffhanger, when Havey shot Nick Bakay after Nick took the Audience of One hostage, and Nick returned to tell his tale of woe about how he could only get work as "Mayor McCheese, Allan! Mayor McCheese!"
