We don't...but Rome did (to a big pop) at his January 1997 Tour Stop. It's just an extension of the ever-so-clever "everybody in Green Bay is fat" take. Yeah, that NEVER gets old.
Originally posted by Teppan-Yaki So enlighten a FIB and let me know what there is in Green Bay, other than the Puckers.
First and foremost, there's ME. :-) (Naah...I guess that only works for CRZ.)
Like NCAA D-1 hoops? Check out UW-Green Bay men's and women's basketball. How about USHL hockey? With no NHL, ya gotta get your fix...check out the Green Bay Gamblers. Or if you like af2's brand of Arenaball, there's the Green Bay Blizzard during the NFL off-season.
Like top-notch Broadway entertainment in a world-class facility? The Weidner Center is your ticket. Or big touring arena shows? The Resch Center is your destination...it's hosted SmackDown! tapings a whole bunch of times, for a 2-year-old building.
More culture, you say? Besides the Packer Hall of Fame, there's the Neville Museum. Cheap summer family fun? How about Bay Beach Amusement Park, where the most expensive ride is $0.30...right across from the beautiful Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. Feed the Canada geese with your kids. Awesome fun with Kastle Karts (go-carts) nearby, too.
Much aquatic fun to be had during the summer on the Bay of Green Bay or Fox River for you boaters/waterskiiers/windsurfers. In the winter, it's good ice skating/ice fishing territory.
You like parks? We got a bunch...I recommend Ashwaubomay Park in Ashwaubenon (kind of a GB suburb.) Neat man-made lake w/ sandy beach, BIG, lots of playground equipment and ballfields.
But eventually, ya gots to eat! Try the 1934 greasy-spoon goodness of Al's Hamburgers (right on the Washington St. entertainment district.) Stop down for a beer at Glory Years Sports Pub & Grill...and see Lombardi's office. (Its Washington St. locale was Packers HQ prior to their building an admin building adjacent to Lambeau Field in 1963 or so.) Good ribs at the Bay City Smokehouse, AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME burgers, perch, and atmosphere at Kroll's West (across from Lambeau) and other good chow at the Stadium View Sports Bar & Grill.
Big ol' shopping at the Bay Park Square Mall, and even better 30 min. south at the Fox River Mall in Grand Chute.

KROLL'S! Yum yum yum...I'll second his opinion. Order a burger AND a grilled cheese...you won't be disappointed.
Thrill, you forgot to mention Titletown Brewing Co. Good food and beer there as well...
See Ryan of Unleashed Tattoos down on Velp Avenue for a great place to get some ink...
And if you want to see one of the most beautiful places in the country whilst in Green Bay, take a little road trip (little under 2 hours) Northeast to Door County...MY homeland... Lots of state parks (5) for you outdoor enthusiasts... Good restaurants, wineries... Pick some cherries... At the very least, catch a sunset or two...
Oh, and we don't all have beards... Besides, my boyfriend doesn't seem to mind mine ;-)

No...maybe more of a soul patch... ;-)
Teppan-Yaki, I have no arguments there...Chicago is a great place and there is definitely lots to do--I've always had fun during my jaunts to the Windy City. (even got to spend a wild birthday (St. Pat's Day) there) Though, fresh off a 48 hour whirlwind trip to NYC...my edge might go to the Big Apple right now as far as which is my favorite
And, after our lovely LOSS to the Bears, perhaps we are eating crow a bit today...so congrats...for now...revenge can be sweet later in the season...

When I first read this, I couldn't figure out which team you were talking about. After some reasearch, I figure you must be talking about the Cubs, 0.5 game back in the NL wildcard. Because the Blackhawks, Bulls, White Sox, Bears (even after Sunday), and even the Chicago Fire of MLS aren't any good. I suppose the Chicago Rush of the Arena League were pretty good last year at 11-5, but that's more minor league, isn't it? Let's see, no WNBA team in chicago, no MLL team in Chicago, yeah, must be talking about the Cubs. | spf
