In my opinion Edwards comes off looking pretty foolish HERE (news.yahoo.com).
Cheney points to what is probably the most successful example of Internet commerce (eBay), then Edwards compares eBay to "bake sales" & "lemonade stands" followed by an accusation of the Republicans being "out of touch"???

IMO, it's fair to say that most all politicians on that level are out of touch. And in many ways it's not their fault. In order to perform at that level, much of what passes for our everyday lives fades into the background and is taken care of for them.

Everyone knows where my sympathies lie, but IMO Edwards is just being politically shrewd here. Telling people that the economy is OK due to the success of eBay, even if true, is not going to win you any political support. It was a weird statement by Cheney.
