Cheney points to what is probably the most successful example of Internet commerce (eBay), then Edwards compares eBay to "bake sales" & "lemonade stands" followed by an accusation of the Republicans being "out of touch"???
I think Senator Edwards needs to Google "eBay"... | Promote this thread! | | Barbwire Mike

And considering his former profession and his "popularity" among his own constituency in NC... you KNOW it's coming. | DrDirt

In order to perform at that level, much of what passes for our everyday lives fades into the background and is taken care of for them. | brick

Bubba was a smooth talking southern womanizer, and America loved him. Americans could identify with him.
Bush is the former drunk, who can't pronounce big words or understand complicated concepts, Americans can identify with him.
Kerry is the guy who would have been one of the first voted off the Island.
I may disagree with Bush and his administration's policies, but I can see why the Dems are having such a hard sell with Kerry. | PalpatineW

Telling people that the economy is OK due to the success of eBay, even if true, is not going to win you any political support. It was a weird statement by Cheney. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
