I don't understand what you are trying to say.. You mean 'we' hate America because you have the power to go to war against other nations? You mean we should go conquer Africa again?
And what do you suggest Europe does about the things they did in Africa for instance? I believe half of the nations of Europe pay huge amounts of money to loads of countries to get their economy going (failing most of the time) | Dahak

A lot of Europeans think they would do it better. So why not try to help out? I am not saying do as the US says but it seems more like they complain more than help out. Africa is a very tricky situation. The truth is that there is no easy answer. I do wish that the rest of the world gave a crap about Africa and I include the US in that. Loans don't work because whoever is in charge just uses the money to line their own pockets. But more humanitarian aid. More teachers. They still might be a little pissed in the Middle East because we cut their nuts off during the Suez Crisis in the 1950's. Until then Britain and France were the players in that part of the world. We made a deliberate effort to become the dominant power in that region because we feared Soviet influence with Nasser and The UAR. They, most of Africa, and the other nonaligned nations learned to play us vs the USSR for gain.
Britain and France did indeed cause alot of the problems in the Middle East but we have our share of blame also.

Africa is a desert with no oil, no resources it's been stripped of all it's value other than the human lives still stuck there. I know people like to throw out the whole we went to Iraq to free the people arguement, but boy Africa sure has some real hard luck cases. I guess it's too bad for them that one of their country men didn't attack the US first, so they could be *liberated*. | Barbwire Mike

Hey world, WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK!! When YOU are the most powerful nation on the planet, how you think we should vote might matter a tiny Goddamn.
I wouldn't mind this post if it wasn't for the fact that most Americans seem to alternate (or, dare I say, flip-flop) between "We're #1, we don't care!" and "We're America, we provide leadership for the rest of the world."
You know, I'd have thought the picture would be enough of a tip-off the response was meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

That is true of part of Africa. Other parts are verdant and resource rich, see Nigeria. The world is missing the boat by not aiding these peoples towards peace, security, eductation, and economic development. | StaggerLee

I have seen some pretty ignorant statements on here, hell, I have made some of them. But jeez, this is the most ignorant post I believe I have ever read on this board. A dessert with no oil? All its resources stripped?
http://www.goafrica.co.za/africa/general1.stm#wide Look around, and please educate yourself a tad before making such absurd statements.
