I'll see if I can dig up a transcript when I get home tonight.

Personally I don't know if they'll do much good. Its pretty much entrenched in peoples minds that 9/11 was committed by al Qaeda rather than by Saudi Arabia itself. Heck there's probably plenty folks out there who think Iraq was more responsible for the attack than the Saudi's.
I'd figure it would be better in some ways to keep quiet rather than force people to think about it too much. Leaves themselves a bit too open to "there's no smoke without fire" and "me thinks they doth protest too much" responses from the public.

There is a strong undercurrent that says the Saudis may be partially responsible, and they want to remind people that, in their minds, they have not. | Pool-Boy

I can't think that they are going to make people think "Hmmm, those Saudi's ain't so bad!"
But hell, at least they are concerned enough about us being pissed off to try.... | DrDirt

They need us. They run the risk of losing out to the lunatics if they aren't careful. The heads of the House of S'aud could be rolling around the desert if they aren't careful.
