TKG: Helmsley wearing a girdle was a nice look.
PAS: I really liked the finish of the Trish match, they have had some fun screwy finishes recently. A couple of years ago the screwjobs were all the same, but they have had some nice mixing up of screwy endings. Late 90's All Japan could have used some more screwjobs, it is too bad Mrs. Baba never listened to Ace.
TKG: Funnier finish than any Dragon's Gate match and the actual ring work was better too. I may be biased since I'm not really big on fantasizing about fucking hairless Japanese boys. Nidia isn't actually good or anything but works a sloppy stiffness and takes nice bumps. Eddy's being pushed back to midcard and well they realize that Latinos are the only people who watch wrestling anymore so having Nidia talk shit in Spanish during match was nice touch. Racist Ross with the "firey Nidia" call was amusing disappointed that Lawler didn't do his Speedy Gonzalez impression. This went surprisingly long without falling apart.
PAS: Second cage match was fine, Kane's offense actually looked impactfull, where it usually looks like shit. The double cage matches really had the feel of a Michigan Indy renting the cage and using it for both the Breyer Wellington III v. Trik Davis undercard feud and the Gutter v. Amazing N8 main event.
TKG: The pre cage section of this sucked the post cage section wasn't as good as Rosey vs. Rodney Mack on Heat. Why does Lita care about what Kane does to Orton? How many times are they gonna run the Kane vs. face match that gets restarted angle? They really need a non-Kane midcard heel for faces to be able to go over cleanly on way to being fed to HHH.
What Didn't Work
TKG: Aw fuck! Another Christian vs. Jericho match? I saw Heat. does anyone else watch heat? Stevie is better on the mike than all these fuckers. christian will bump big in ladder matches. But wow was this hotshotted .Heyman back one day and the already hotshot a ladder match. A ladder match? I remember when the WWF was running like a ladder match every week. But its been a while. when was the last time they ran a ladder match? I'm guessing it was the last time Heyman was "helping" with the booking.
PAS: Meltzer is always talking about how Helmsley is stealing old 80's territorial angles, so to heat up his main event he jacks the Terry Funk v. Bruce Walkup jobber cage match. This went too long for a jobber cage match though, really needed to be about 5 minutes.
TKG: Ooh a diva arm wrestling tourney. You know this will get Ventura into the HOF.
PAS: Damn Heyman is back in charge, so we have to see Rhyno work a long face in peril section. Beniot looked fine as hot tag, but he must have had Mongo flashbacks watching Rhyno throw punches and try to sell.
TKG: Jack Bull worked as a Maven jobber on Heat. Black guy goes over a Neo Nazi and damn was HHH pissed. He took it out on us.
PAS: Boxing match? So they are flashing back to Brawl For All now? Which stripper is going to need neck surgery? | Promote this thread! | | redsoxnation

It would be better if both strippers pulled a Dr. Death Steve Williams and blew out their knees. That would be quality TV. And, considering they are doing a variant of Flair/Sting early '90, was it a wise move for Orton to jump down from the cage at the end? When he landed, all I could picture was him blowing out his knee and screwing up the company's booking. And Viva La 30 Day Rule. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
