I would agree on Meet the Press, but Russert sure did sound like a typical media Kerry apologist after Cheney's speech the other night. | DrDirt

I also don't udnerstand how you can run on the same domestic platform and promises of 4 years ago, when you've had control of congress and the presidency for the last three years. I mean, do you really think nobody's going to catch on and say "hey, if that's such a great idea, why didn't you do it last time around?"

A nut case that the Rep's gave a prominent place to during their convention. He came off so whacky though that he made Ros Perot look normal. Likely he will just be ignored from now on. | OlFuzzyBastard

| #33 Posted on 9.9.04 0230.59 Reposted on: 9.9.11 0231.52 | I think Bush should run for Senate of a small state. I mean you listen to Bush talk constantly about Kerry flip-flop on subjects in the last 25 years it seems to be so much more important than whatever Bush as President could do the last 4 years as he seems to ignore that.
Usually when you have a President going for his 2nd term it's a referendum on him. You have your opponent trying to say all the things that the president did wrong & how he would have done it different. As the sitting President talks about all the right things he's done & how re-electing him it will move on to the next phase... Bush is smart & changing the rules, he's attacking everything about his opposition therefore deflecting what he has done in the last 4 years, everything from misinformation, scandals, wars, deficits & the economy. His greatest quality is an abstract thing like being "A good leader". But if you look at the meat & potatoes of the last 4 years & stack them up. There's a lot of material you can use against Bush. When he talks about Kerry & not about his own term as president it comes off as "I know I wasn't very good, but this Kerry guy is going to be BRUTAL". Not very positive. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
