| #1 Posted on 27.3.02 0454.04 Reposted on: 27.3.09 0459.01 | I'm not going to post the whole spoiler or anything, anyone who cares to read them can and probably already has elsewhere. I just wanted to note:
1. No trades as of yet. Which means if they happen, they happen after the split.
2. It appears Kane of all people will be the number one face for Raw.
I believe that latter statement especially deserves a hearty WTF. I mean I like Kane more than most, but really. I guarantee you no one's going to tune in to watch him fight Nash or X-Pac, and almost no one's going to tune in to to watch him fight Taker.
When I first saw how the roster was divided, I thought maybe they were going to give third tier guys like RVD a chance to run with the ball, but if I had to guess at this point, we're just going to be biding our time with Kane and Taker and/or the Big Show vs. the nWo until HHH drops the belts and heads to Raw full time and/or Austin returns to TV.
Which honestly is acceptable, I suppose, provided RAW doesn't tank completely in the meanwhile. My only thought is that maybe they're counting on the RAW name itself to draw viewers while they get their shit in order. And maybe they'll build up a decent midcard, since really their upper card guys can only take up so much TV time. None of them will want to work long matches regularly, and they aren't known for long, rambling interviews either. And in the meantime, they've probably got the more promising of the lower card guys (if you discount the cruiserweights, which I do, because really this is the WWF and most of them aren't named X-Pac). | #2 Posted on 27.3.02 0952.40 Reposted on: 27.3.09 0959.02 | Well, I would have almost bet my life-savings that there would have been a trade on Smackdown. That's why I don't bet! As it is, the line-up seems off balanced in favor of Smackdown by a pretty good bit. Austin almost has to land on RAW now (because as you said, as it stands, Kane is the #1 face, and I just can't see that lasting for long). And I agree, that's where Triple H has to go to when he does drop the belts (which I have a feeling is not in the near future). | Torchslasher

Hogan was cheered, but Rock got a much bigger pop, and all is right with the world.
BTW, just to get this out of the way, after the cameras stopped rolling, Triple H made Ric Flair come back to the ring. Triple H said that, while he is the game, Flair really is the Man, and they hugged in a manly, heterosexual way. It was a cool gesture.
BTW2, Kane got the biggest laughs of the night with his Rocky and Hogan impersonation (it must be seen to believe). | Spiraling_Shape

Yes, I was there too and this was truly the highlight of the night. Plus after their match, Rock got Hogan AND Kane to do the classic Hogan posing in the ring.
No truly outstanding matches (but a lot of them..there were 7 on SmackDown! and 4 on Heat) but we saw Hogan AND Flair in the ring, and whodathunkit last summer when The Rock made his return in Philly.
Our seats were much further than we thought (literally the top row in the whole building) but we had a dead-center bird`s eye view of the ring so we could see perfectly. So my WALTMANIA IS RUNNING WILD sign was pretty useless. Best signs I saw in the crowd: WHO DRAFTED GANGREL? and SHOW-GUNNS (yes!). | Kawshen

You know, we had to be pretty much close together, as I as well was in the top row of the FU Center. I was in section 210 in that last row. Our view was semi-blocked by the lighting, but I had my Torrie-Wilson binoculars so everything was fine.

Well, being up that high for me made me believe that I would not have a sign in my face all night. Turns out I was sadly mistaken, as a 12 year old held up an exciting Hogan and Rock sign and the Triple H foam thing every two seconds, despite being one row from the top of the building. I really enjoyed my view then.
BTW, the vignette with the end of the APA era and the Dudleys post match celebration were great to witness live, as was seeing Tommy Dreamer and Raven working together. ECW...ECW...and so on | Spiraling_Shape

Yup, I was in 213.
And yes, the APA and Dudleyz stuff were very good. There`s still the possibility of trades to reunite them, though.

Maybe, I saw it in the concourse.
Other sign related notes: the sign-checkers at the front door told us they were looking for anything that said "4:20", so that`s a no-no (which I`d already heard).
And one of the checkers was rather confused by my friend`s "TRIPLE H = KOBRA KHAN" sign. Does anyone else get that joke besides us? | EastCoastAvenger

Have anything to do with the "cerebral assasin" label? You know, evil, slightly insane genius. Hopefully it doesn't have anything to do with Triple H leading a terrorist organisation that's got access to equipment that's better than anything in the U.S. Military. I mean, the guy already runs the WWF, what more can he want?!
EDIT: Oops, you said "Kobra Khan", not Cobra Commander. My bad!

They spit water and have non-anatomically-correct musculature.
My Cobra Kahn figure sucked because I always lost his head. Left it in the bath tub and stuff. *memories
