From The Monitor, McAllen, Texas:
57-year-old veteran called for duty
And quoting:
"He's 57 years old, afflicted with skin cancer, partially deaf and suffers from high blood pressure. But the U.S. Army still wants Master Sgt. Luis Jaime Treviņo.
On July 14, the Vietnam and Desert Storm veteran received his third order to report to active duty mobilized for Operation Iraqi Freedom."
Apparently, they're activating reservists under the age of 60. I know 60 is the new 40, but really....

Send the guy to active duty. He's been collecting a paycheck for his drill weekends and his AD time, and nobody was pitching a fit then. Worst case scenario is he is deemed undeployable, in that case, send him on Active Duty someplace stateside, replacing somebody is was physically able to deploy. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
