http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/08/15/beercan.rock.ap/index.html
"Miller Brewing is celebrating the "50th Anniversary of Rock 'n' Roll" with eight commemorative beer cans that feature Rolling Stone cover shots of Elvis Presley, Blondie and others. ... The promotion, which ties rock's anniversary to Presley's debut at Sun Studios, also depicts Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and Willie Nelson, as well as the guitars of Eric Clapton and Joe Walsh, on cans being issued this summer by the brewer and the magazine."
Perhaps the best part of this story was watching Jack Cafferty's head explode this morning while discussing it. Of course, my head hurts from the thought that Def Leppard is being commemorated for anything other than making lousy music, IMHO.

Picture it: Milwaukee Summerfest, 1996. {/Sophia from The Golden Girls} Def Leppard's rocking on stage. Helluva performance band. Yours truly & hot blonde female companion were in "restricted view" seats about 10 rows back from stage left...pounding down plenty of big ol' cardboard pitchers of Miller Genuine Draft.
The only part of the stage we couldn't see from our "restricted view" seats was where they never, ever went.
