So the draft is down, and I guess starting on Thursday we're going to see the beginning of the split crews working in seperate environments. By reading on the board I noticed many people think Vince had the better "Draft" which I agree with. On that note, did anybody really believe that these side would be split properly? I was hoping that would happen, but knew it was impossible. Vince's ego will keep him from ever losing, whether work or not. He has lost sight in the fact that he is in a business, and if he keeps trying to "win" now that he is the only game in town, it's only going to destroy his own company.
With that said, I feel that this upcoming "Brand War" between the sides is going to fail very badly. My reasoning for thinking this is the same as what happened with that draft. Vince is never going to let the Raw Brand, show him up at any point because that will show he is not the "better man" in the kayfabe world which Vince is slowly living out in the real world. Vince has at least double the amount of credible in-ring workers and on the flip side less than half the crappy workers. Vince might not have the IC and European titles, but he's got more belts Total (Cruiser, Tag, and Hardcore) and I will bet anybody a dollar that HHH's first feud will be in a Smackdown ring.
For a wrestler to "live his gimmick" is nothing special, because they are not running a multi-million dollar business. Vince, on the other hand, is slowly beginning to ruin something he worked so hard for because he forgot (or maybe never really knew) how to run a wrestling company, and now that there is no competition running against McMahon in the real world, there is nothing forcing him to change his ways. McMahon is obviously extremely heard-headed, and for somebody to convince him that by sabbotaging his own company (under the premise of winning the "Brand War") it will take a miracle.
I don't believe that this split in the crews will last more than a year. On top of that, I think that Raw will be a failure, Smackdown might not even be around this time next year (more because Networks are not willing to keep ratings losers). The crews will be joined again, many will lose work, and Vince will lose lots and lots of money because he couldn't let another person (even in a worked reality where he is in charge of everything) beat him.

I don't think that Vince having a better roster is really an issue. I'm sure plenty of trades will be made in the coming days and weeks. Plus, I think it would be a safe bet that Austin will be on Raw once his hissy fit is over. It would be stupid to put him AND Rock on one show, both being huge faces.
And I don't think that Vince is stacking the deck to win this war. The split might be real, but the fact that it's a "war" is just an angle because in real ife he owns BOTH "brands." And Vince has no problems losing in TV angles. Look at all the times he's been embarassed on TV. He pissed his freakin' pants, for crying' out loud! Real life Vince might not like to lose, but Mr. McMahon always gets what is coming to him in the end.
