No, this isn't a "List Your Top Ten Worst Games"-type thread ... at least, that wasn't my intention.

Hmmm ...

Seems excessive when some people are just trying to innocently help out and aren't being rude about it, but that's just my opinion. Doesn't necessarily mean that people want to be mods.

Anyhoo, if it's just WWE games, then I'd say WWF Attitude - hands down.

If we're talking all wrestling games, then WCW/NWO Backstage or whatever it was called. I've never seen a slower game compared to other existing wrestling games at the same time. I feel sorry for anyone who bought that one.

Ah, the old WrestleMania game. I remember playing that with my brother, who's a non-wrestling fan. He thought Andre The Giant's floating foot (which boosted his energy) looked like a slice of pizza. Given the level of graphics back then, he wasn't far off.

I think WWF WarZone is worse than WWF Attitude.

I have Wrestlemania for my NES and, yes, it does suck. I remember the day I finally was able to go up for an off the rope move (it's insanely hard), only to have my opponent easily dodge the move. D'oh!

I own it for the PSone, and I actually like it. If anything, for all the unlockable characters. The commentary from Shiavone and Heenan was enjoyable, and kicks anything THQ's attempted in the SD! series so far.

So what if the graphics are terrible? With lots of unlockables, it makes up for that.

Oh, and the worst wrestling game of all time is a tie between WCW Nitro and WCW/NWO THUNDER, both for the PSone.

I would have to say that WCW/NWO Thunder for the PS1 was the worst. The graphics are obscene, and you can take almost all of your opponent's health with a single test of strength.

Yeah, but it had those ever so great promos from each wrestler telling you why you should pick them. Except for Scott Hall, who somehow or another got it backwards and launched into a speech about how he was going to rub your face in the mat for picking him

I also remember WCW Nitro having "bilingual" promos for Eddie Guerrero and Alex Wright.

Aren't some of you guys forgetting Wrestlemania: The Arcade game? You know, the one with combo moves from Doink and Lex Luger. The controls were so bad, and it was a button mashing "classic" in every sense of the word.

Oh, and WCW Backstage Mayhem was AWFUL. No ring? No thank you. That game was only good for the intro songs that the wrestlers got. The graphics were so bad and the announcing got really old quick.

Then again, Mayhem was still better than both ECW games.

Looking back a LONG LONG time ago, there was WWF Super Wrestlemania for the Genesis; and while it had the finishing moves that was missing from the SNES translation, it had a lower framerate, and no support for the six button controller which was released before the game was.

Even using a turbo controller, I could never beat the game.

I believe I played this... that is, if it's the one with HBK having a Slingshot Suplex (I think that's was what it was called) as a finisher. And Hogan's move being nigh-impossible to accomplish. But I could be wrong.

Not only did it have finishers, but the Genesis version of the game also had a slightly different character lineup (as opposed to the original Super NES version). I know Papa Shango was in the Genesis one and not the SNES one, which for some reason I loved.
