Well, none of us will really know for sure what to make of this until all is said and done (I'm starting to lean towards shoot turned into a work, though based on what we saw on TV last night). But what I do know is that the internet is REALLY trying to make this out to be a HUGE thing for thier own purposes.
For instance, on the Torch instead of reporting what they know, Keller is trying to tell us that Austin was barely mentioned on Raw, and that this is cause for concern. Uh, did he think we didn't watch the f'n show? They made a BIG deal out of Austin's free agent status. It was mentioned at the top of the show along with the announcement for the rules for champions, Lawler and JR talked about it several times, and Flair and Vince made it seem like it was vital to their group to sign Austin. So how can Keller go and claim that not much was made of Austin? To me it made Austin seem even MORE important than he was before.
As much heat as the WWF had for the "meadia ban" announcement last week, I am in agreement with them when they say some peopel are trying to further their own agendas.

I think even if there were problems, they are taken care of now. I figure if the problems still existed (if they ever did), then, outside of mentioning that Austin wouldn't be drafted, we wouldn't have heard his name the rest of the night. As it was, they were pushing the signing of Austin as a big deal. In other words, they were pushing it as a major plot point for future shows. I don't think they would do that if there was some doubt whether or not he was going to show up.
(Edit: Er, I guess I could have saved time by posting "Yeah, what Eradicator said!". I need to start actually reading all the posts!)
