, Colo. (AP) -- Houston Astros pitcher Roger Clemens was asked to leave a youth baseball game over the weekend for arguing a close call that went against his son's team.

Clemens was at the game Saturday watching his son, Kacy, compete in a 10-and-under game organized by Triple Crown Sports when Clemens contested a call at second base that went against the Katy Cowboys.

Priceless. :)

It's all fun and games when it's something harmless like throwing a bat barrel at Mike Piazza's head, but when you get thrown out of a little league game, that's something entirely different.

TSN reported this story tonight, but also reported that witnesses said they didn't see Clemens do anything but sit in the crowd holding his camcorder. Upon ejection, they continued, Clemens quietly left, not wanting to create a scene. Keep in mind this is coming from a Toronto station; hardly predisposed to be pro-Rocket.

From that story it sounded much more like a little league ump trying to turn some heads rather than Clemens acting like a jackass at his kid's game.

The highlight of his umping career.

According to the SI story, the ump was a 20 year old kid.

I'd say this was bad umpiring, but then again, if I was umping a game and Clemens was in the stands....well, let's just say I'm hard-pressed to fault anyone.

Roger didn't do it (msn.foxsports.com)

Roger Clemens was given an emphatic apology Thursday for "unjustly" being ejected from his 10-year-old son's baseball game last weekend in Colorado.

David King, president of tournament organizer Triple Crown Sports, said "Mr. Clemens was a non-aggressor and a victim of mistaken identity and confusion" by an upset umpire.

The Katy coaches and fans complained about the call, but witnesses said Clemens never said a word. The umpire came over to quiet the ruckus, and said he was hit in the pants cuff by a sunflower seed spit by Clemens.

Prez King says "After reviewing the situation, including the location of the official, it is impossible to believe that a seed was spit at our official by Roger Clemens or anyone."

Hahaha. But how did it get there president King? How Did The Seed Get There!, WE NEED ANSWERS... I'm glad the little league game has it's own version of the Zapruder film. The sunflower seed came from the front and to the right, FRONT and to the RIGHT.

A more pressing issue is there's a city in Texas named Katy. Why am I not surprised Roger is living in a city that starts with a K seeing his fascination of naming his kids with the letter K. Or was Roger allowed to re-name the city when he moved in... Whatever the case Katy does fit in to this team name. With all their complaining they certainly seemed Katty Also very surprised that a Texas based team being named "The Cowboys". The imagination of team naming is impressive to say the least LoL
