So draft day is finally here. It's something people have been talking about off and on since the WWF bought WCW almost exactly a year ago. People have talked ad naseum about who they would draft. Now, what I am wondering is are there going to be any surprise drafts of guys not on TV right now that will happen? Or at least some surprise drafts that you would like to see? Here are mine:

Rey Misterio
Eddie Guerro
D'Lo Brown
Jeff Jarrett (I know that won't happen)
and I hope they include all the currently injured guys, Benoit, Rhyno, Awesome, Kanyon

And I'd just love for Vince to look down at some kind of piece of paper with all the available wrestlers, look up, and in his best Vince growl say, "Scott Steinerrrrrr."

Ostermeyer? He's not even the best writer at 411! At least you could hope for Grutman and he could bring in Dog Man Ape as his valet. Or they could bring in Eric S. and he could get the PTC back on the WWF's case within about 2 minutes of his debut.

For all the flames I'll get for saying this... eh, so what. You know who's surprise name I'd like to hear called most during the draft tonight? The Road Dogg Jesse James. I loved his DX schtick and the Outlaws were golden... unfortunately, he seems to be yet another one of those mid card guys who can't control their demons and then slowly fades away (*COUGHjakerobertsCOUGH*). Still, I'll be there in operation DX camo... so here's hoping.

I'll be surprised if they can make the draft makes sense, and keep it interesting.

I think the fact that Raven has a track on Forceable Entry means he'll be back on TV soon, and what better oppurtunity/excuse than the draft?

yeah, one of the a1wrestling-linked sites said raven has been called up, too.

the ridiculous surprise i'd love to see: jason hervey!

eddie and rey might be the only real surprise we get, outside of the injured guys like benoit and rhyno. i don't think kanyon or awesome have the wwf interest at this point to bust them out like that.

they may have something coming in under our radar, which could rule nine ways to sunday. steiner, goldberg, sting. i'd love to see sting back. despite all the net reports about him not digging the wwf, i think he'd fit in well and could put on at least as good of a match as the current top tier.
