They've tested him for HIV and for cancer both come up negative. Now they are testing for a lethal parasite of all things. I guess it's possible and all, but it seems more possible to me that he may have been getting to much of a good thing and is now going through some kind of serious withdrawls. Then again I have zero degrees hanging on my wall. Whatever it is it's an awful strange case to suddenly hit what seemed to be a very healthy, productive young man in the prime of his career. Giambi has been declining since he left Oakland, which could be a sign of some sort of developing illness; then again, maybe not.
