PEABODY, Mass. -- the Florida Marlins' top 2003 draft pick, Jeff Allison, spent three days last week in a hospital because of a heroin overdose, according to police.
Allison was hospitalized after he and a friend split a bag of heroin on July 17, Lynn police Lt. John Scannell told The Salem News.

It's interesting, because on the Marlins' message board, there was somebody posting right after he was drafted mentioning that he had a drug problem, and everybody pretty much dismissed him.
