Oh.....HALLELUJAH.
This makes me feel very very very good.
Eddie George has always been a personal favorite since the OSU days and I adore the Cowboys, so there you go. A perfect fit.
And it makes me feel much better about draft day as well.
I don't care about George's yards per rush or anything else. You can't beat heart and personality and leadership like what he brings to the table. He will make the Cowboys better by osmosis.

You also cant bring anyone in who is much slower then him these days. Im glad the Eagles didnt go after him. I hope you enjoy the 400 yards he brings you this year because this is not the George of 2001.

I don't care how much he's been used and abused in Tennessee, as a Giants fan, I am NOT looking forward to them facing him twice this season. He's still got talent, heart, and onions, and that is not a good combination unless he's on your team.

George had his worst year in 2001, the only year he gained less than 1000 yards. He brings heart, leadership and 10,000 yards. And the best stat about Eddie is with all those carries, and all those hits he gives and recieves, he has missed 0 games and 0 starts in his carear. He isn't the Eddie that gained 1500 yards in 00, but he is still Eddie freakin George. I will really miss him as a Titan fan.
I'd be much more worried about former Titan Jevon Kearse getting back to form than Eddie, who never lost form.

Kearse only missed two games last season and finished up with 9.5 sacks even though he was seeing double teams on most downs. If thats him off form then I'm sure he'll do just fine.
Eddie managed a whopping 3.3 yards per carry (league low) in spite of having McNair in Pro-Bowl form to keep opposition D's guessing. He hasn't even gotten close to 4.0 yards a carry in the last three years.
He'll be better than Hambrick, but he won't make the Cowboy's O any less sucky.

Eddie certainly not the player he once was. He's still a very solid starter but I don't think he's in that upper tier anymore even though I'm sure he'll give a solid effort each time out there.

How much time do you think he will be splitting with Julius Jones. If not much he could be a solid pickup for FF knowing how Parcells likes to pound the ball.

Don't forget, also, that Eddie is at his best when he's got a big ol' fullback to follow into the hole. With Jamar Martin in front of him to blow people up, don't be surprised to see Eddie have a pretty good year. I think he'll be just fine. And Jones will make for a really good change of pace, so the Cowboys running game could be pretty damn good this year.
