I was a little sad to see the Father/Daughter team lose out, but I don't think the dad was going to make it that much further. I'm shocked the Charla and Mirna (the Midget team) have gotten so far, but I can't stand them. They're just so goddamn smug.
The Twins are my favorite so far because they're hot, it's too bad they aren't racing very smart. In fact, there doesn't really seem to be a well real front runner in the preparedness factor this season. Promote this thread! | | StaggerLee

They may be 2 hours ahead of somebody and they are still screaming "HURRY UP! HURRY UP!" Its quite annoying a lot of the time. Especially when the part when they were looking for the white filled chocolates, I mean, more screaming than I had ever heard, and NOBODY is around to catch up to ANYBODY. Its a bit much. | Reverend J Shaft

Are you kidding? I (almost) feel sorry for them because every team they build an alliance with stabs them in the back. But they're also stupid if they think anyone wants to actually help them because, as Mirna says, "they're god-fearing people, too." Yeah, sure, that's it.
I loved the twins, too. I thought it was hilarious when they dove into the water and swam to the island (pit stop) and Phil was laughing at them, saying "Everyone else just walked over here through the shallow part... but, oh well." Stupid people are funny. | dunkndollaz

There really isn't a single team that I like this year so it will be harder for me to watch. I think the producers went out of their way this edition to find stupid people. | Teapot

I love that Charla and Mirna were trying to be all "we're independent and we're just as good as anyone," and then it seems like they keep on playing the "she's short, she needs help" card. The "I need a doctor-o muy rapido" bit in the airport pushed me over the top for them. | James F'n X

On an aside concerning CBS reality shows, does anyone else think something else is up with this game other than the two twists we've been shown? I'm somewhat suspicious about no family members being brought in for the evicted. Did they do that last year because of the jury aspect? Or could we see another re-entrance like BB3 later this year? | pieman

The other twist may be that Adria/Natalie aren't the only two switching spots in the house. | chill

| #8 Posted on 24.7.04 1244.13 Reposted on: 24.7.11 1244.29 | I've never seen the show until this season. Wow. It really hooks you in once you start watching, and I'm sure it'll only get more interesting to follow once there aren't as many teams. It's confusing for a new viewer like myself to start watching midstream and keep track of all the teams. I already have the Soccer Moms and that black couple, who had it out with the twins recently, in my "Not liked" list. I'm not sure I'm cheering for anyone yet. The couple/models team seems ok. | Excalibur05

Everybody gets a little overwhelmed at the start. I've been watching for five seasons and I can't keep all the teams straight from the start, especially not the "couples" teams. It'll get much much clearer in a few weeks.
One thing that helps me though, is that they usually cast the same kinds of teams, so I just remember old teams and it all falls into place (though there's no openly gay team this year, so they went against casting with that, but you have the token minority team, the old couple, the team of middle aged or older ladies out to prove they can still hang with the young uns only nobody cares, the fat bald guys, the chipper siblings, the parent/child, the couple that wants to prove they're in love but find out they're not, and the "other" couples who seem to genuinely like each other which doesn't make them particularily interesting. | chill

Rather, I'm only cheering against certain teams! The twins seem ok so far, but I don't know if they've caused any problems or intentionally screwed over anyone like I've seen a couple other teams do. | pieman

Yeah, I could very well have done without those self-congratulatory "At least we're not DIRTY ROTTEN CHEATERS like SOME other people" interviews they gave after Cabgate. It's a race, you got outmaneuvered, suck it up and keep going.
And I actually found it easier this season to tell teams apart as opposed to, say, TAR3, where half the teams were indistinguishable young male/female couples.

| #13 Posted on 26.7.04 1429.49 Reposted on: 26.7.11 1429.58 | I loved the bit on the (3rd?) episode where the brothers are driving by the Gidget & Midget team and yell out "Bitch" and they cut straight into the car where Gidget gets this confused look on her face and says, "Did someone just call me bitch?"
I was watching with my mother and father and my niece Meaghan, my nephew Ryan and my niece Devon and we all thought that was a laugh riot. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
