Well, one of the guys who I was favoring for the final two is gone. Corey gets the boot, and that makes me sad, because I feel his brand of humor was pretty good, and entertaining.

Tammy gets the immunity tonite, but, it didnt sound like ANY of the focus group liked her idea at all. Not sure how that happened.

All the douchebags move back in, and Ant is still a dick.

Why does everybody hate Gary so much? I just dont get it.

Either way, as long as Tammy is there, to fulfill my slutty chick quota, I am happy.

Gary is good looking, charismatic, and most of all FUNNY. They fear him being in the Final 5 because I would be that he's an audience favourite.

Corey on a good night, would have made it. This wasn't one of his good performances. I imagine he'll make it as the wildcard.

The wild card thing scares me, because it could give the producers what the conspiracy theorists say they want: Ant in the finals.

Good point.

He's still not going to win. Corey had an *awful* set -- it just wasn't clicking.

Based on the Dat Phan formula, I'm still picking Gary to win it all; safe, Seinfeldian comedy works on TV.

I think Cory knew he had to have a great set last night and choked. He saw 2 black guys going in and knew only 1 was coming out. Boden was funny as hell and if I was in the audience I would have voted for him.

This line from Boden cracked me up...

"Women are always asking questions like remember?...No I don't remember, I'm a man, we have instant replays for things we just saw!"

The whole focus group thing was pretty funny. All of the pitches sucked, but at least all the focus group people got Gary riled up when he said nothing they said could upset him.

I like Corey too but his ghetto humor just didn't go over with that audience. I like his use of facial expressions.
Alonzo's joke about cash being the women's equivalent to viagra gave him my nod. the guy tells it like it is. Heffron is funny and I like him but he's a little to nervous for me. He almost gives me the same vibe that Jay London does; he's really surprised to be there at all and just doesn't feel like he fits in.
I like Kathleen because she is just about making people happy while Tammy is about being mean and conniving.
At this point I'm going with Alonzo.

The Mafia.

I think Alonzo is probably the best out of all of them. He's an ex-crack smoking biker, which makes him utterly hilarious to begin with.

I think I agree that Gary will win, though, because the audience seems to really like him. I think he has his moments, but plays it safe on a lot of jokes. I don't think he's really all THAT funny. I would have liked to see a Tammy vs Gary showdown.

TY is right. Gary is middle of the road humor. He will do well. I like all three guys that are left - Gary, John and Alonzo are all pretty funny. The two women - not so funny, in my opinion.

/blazingsaddles "pieman is right that I'm right!"

A co-worker and I were talking about the Final Five; I see no problems with Boden either getting writing or stand-up jobs, but Gary fits the best with the "entertainment contract" that NBC gives as a prize.

My co-worker thinks Kathleen is funny, while I don't, and I think albeit cute, Tammy is a one-trick comedian.

In my opinion, last week's 3-way showdown (Corey/Alonzo/Heffron) is what should have been the final showdown. Ah well. Corey seems to emulate Cosby a lot, I find. Alonzo would be a great writer, and I'm cheering for Heffron all the way.

What's all this about a wild card? Did I miss something? I wasn't aware of a wild card spot. In which case, I want to go on record as saying that Jay London is hilarious. I totally got his style and loved it. He'll never beat any of the guys left in the Final 5, but I'd love to see a longer standup routine of his someday. I can see Corey being the wild card, unless the producers go with Todd Glass, who probably never should have been in the house to begin with.

Corey reminds me more of Steve Harvey, grin and all, than a Bill Cosby.

Jay London is funny; he reminds me a lot of Steven Wright with Emo Phillips' influence, but that's not going to win over the masses.
