| #1 Posted on 19.7.04 1916.12 Reposted on: 19.7.11 1918.53 | The Calgary Herald reports that the latest edition of the Calgary Exhibition & Stampede (held annually at Stampede Park since 1912) set a new attendance record this year, somewhere north of 1.22 million people visited the park during the 10-day event. Event organizers credit the Calgary Flames and their Stanley Cup run for the boost in attendance. The previous record of around 1.20 million was set in 2000. Promote this thread! | | girl

Money's money. 1.22 million, at an average of $8.50 a pop...is...$10.37 million (Canadian). | Bullitt

$11 for me just to set foot on the Grounds plus $5.25 for each Budweiser I drank plus the $4 corn dog and the $5 bags of fresh mini donuts equals a lot of money from this kid... :) | The Goon

I know that both in and outside of the gates, I spent WAY too much money. I am going to have to set up a separate savings account for 2005.
Pictures are updated here.
I will say one thing-if you want to have a lady melt all over you, take her to a George Strait concert. He's like Spanish Fly for the female ears. | Bullitt

Beer and mini-donuts. You Canadians just know how to live!
PS - Goon - who's the naked guy with the cowboy hat? Is that George Strait?

Bullitt and I walked past him on the way to the pub crawl, and I thought, "Oh, poor naked statue", so I lent him my cowboy hat for a picture. Then we pointed and laughed at his genitalia.
