That's good news IMO ... Singer has made 2 great comic book films and let's hope that he continues ...
Now if we could just get someone cool for the lead role ...

| #3 Posted on 19.7.04 1024.55 Reposted on: 19.7.11 1026.04 | While a good director like Singer could surely pull this project out of the fire, I'm still a little concerned that it could turn out to be one of the movies that gets worse and worse and worse as they add scriptwriter after scriptwriter after scriptwriter until you have eight people under the screenplay credit and the story makes no sense. If they've got a strong script written by no more than two people with a lot of narrative focus, then there's hope. And hopefully, Singer will help make sure that happens.

All of the script drafts have been pure crap, Warners seems to be clueless when it comes to their franchise pictures, and there is not one actor working in Hollywood today that could hold a candle to Christopher Reeve's Supes. And that's counting the GOOD ones, not the ones that have so far made up the list of the WB's favourites. Ashton Kutcher, anyone? | Tenken347

Maybe Singer could bring over the guy who played Colossus.
I disgaree that there are no actors in Hollywwod who could do the part as well as Reeves. It all depends on the tone of the film. Reeves fit perfectly into what the Salkinds and Donner put together. I think another actor can reach such heights (pardon the pun) if he and the director are on the same page.
There's some guy out there who can do it, and Singer can find him. Who would have thought Hugh Jackman -- an unknown song-and-dance man -- would work so well for Wolverine? | The Vile1

For me, the bigger question is, are people *really* clamoring for new Superman and Batman films or is WB clamoring to get in on all the mass-marketing that these movies can bring about? | The Thrill

Amen to that, brother. I don't think old Chris's turn in the blue tights will EVER be bested. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
