For some reason I have a feeling that the WWF is going to make this split WAY more complicated that it should be. Here are some simple rules that they should follow.

1. Whatever rules you make, stick to them...don't dick us around with loop holes.
2. NO cross promotion...make a defection mean something again, even if it doesn't really.
3. Don't mention the other *brand* on the air... that doesn't mean don't promote it, but have the wrestlers and announcers treat it like a 'WCW'.
4. They have to be different...make the shows unique, more wrestling on one more promos on the other, or Cruisers have time on one and women have time on the other.
5. There can't be a heel and face *brand*... Flair should do some dastardly things to his people and Vince should do some good things to his.
6. Split the Unified Title, but do it without Steph. I have a feeling that Steph is gonna come out of RAW with both titles, when a simple screw job in a Jericho/Triple H match could do the exact same thing.

Just a couple of simple rules to make the split really mean something...I just hope they stick to something.

All good, except...

    5. There can't be a heel and face *brand*... Flair should do some dastardly things to his people and Vince should do some good things to his.

Eh, no. Mick Foley proved you can have a promotion with a face figurehead, at least for a while. While I'll grant you you can't have all the faces be in one company and all the heels in another, I think you either have to establish decided partisanship in your promoters or take them off the air.

    6. Split the Unified Title, but do it without Steph. I have a feeling that Steph is gonna come out of RAW with both titles, when a simple screw job in a Jericho/Triple H match could do the exact same thing.

Cut what ever part of you feels that way out of your body and burn it. I don't think they're even going to split the title, which is a mistake. But Steph ain't winning. She's going to be taken off the air "permanently" (which means "for a maximum of a month and a half" in WWF speak). The WWF is in too delicate of a postion at this point to dick around the fans like that, and even they have to realize it.

But they don't have to feud with WWF RAW being the good guys and WWF Smackdown being bad. The promoters can be face/heel within their own promotion, but not against each other.

Does it matter? Given the length of WWF angles these past few months (year, actually).. the whole thing should be over and forgotten about in about four months :p

Seriously though, I agree.. except about the titles. I think they could do a free-agent kinda thing where the champions would go where ever they please. I dunno. We'll see.. :-/

What I'd really like to see done is to get Steph the hell out of the Raw event and put Angle in there...

Have Angle and Y2J beat the shit out of Hunter and then do a double KO between Angle and Y2J (two steel chairs at once?) and then have them both fall on Hunter...2 new champs...

Flair announces later that he is bringing back the WCW name to Raw, so then you have WCW and WWF again

What are they going to do with Jericho and HHH in the draft? I mean, HHH is the champ, so technically, he belongs to neither brand, but Jericho is in the title match THAT night, so he could be in the exact same position by the end of the night theoretically speaking.

The simplest thing would be to have Triple H and Jericho drafted like everyone else. The world champion, whoever he is, still belongs to one of the divisions -- he can just appear on either show as needed.

I wish they'd allowed the tag, cruiserweight, and hardcore champions to be able to cross over, too. If each division has its own tag titles and cruiser/LHW title, it's going to look like the way it did back around Invasion when everyone was running around with redundant belts. And the hardcore title is supposed to be something anyone can win anytime as it is.

And no, I don't include the IC and Euro titles in the above list. I think it'd be cool if they kept one title in each division exclusively within that division, and the IC and Euro belts are perfect for that role. Give 'em a little more luster.

For the tag title issues (the titles being locked in one "brand"), just introduce a second tag title, like the old U.S. tag titles in WCW, or the Light Heavyweight tag titles in japan. Then again, the barely have enough teams now for ONE tag title. They have enough guys to set up a serious tag division too. Maybe they could do things like they do in Mexico: all matches are tag or 6-man tags except the singles title matches. Everyone in the WWF could get some tv time that way, at least.
