LOS ANGELES - Actress Isabel Sanford, best known as "Weezie," Louise Jefferson on the television sitcom "The Jeffersons," died of natural causes, her publicist said Monday. She was 86.

Sanford died Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she had been hospitalized since July 4, said Brad Lemack. Her daughter, Pamela Ruff, was at her side, he said.

I hope TVLand or Nick@Nite will do a tribute. The Jeffersons were one of my fav shows when I was a kid because George would go off on something silly and Marla Gibbs would put him in his place with a witty put down.

I'm pretty sure they didn't do it, but I wish they did a flashback or a retelling of how Weezie and George got together for the first time. I think it would be an interesting story.

R.I.P. Weezie...

She's moved on up to the de-luxe apartment in the sky ...

She was a true talent. I remember watching her on the Jefferson's as a kid and I thought it was great, little did I understand the social aspect of it.

Was being on the Simpsons her last TV moment. I think it was earlier this year in the episode Milhouse leaves Springfield with his mom... She was the voice over and image for Classic TV museum.

According to IMDb.com:

Her appearance on "The Simpsons" for the episode "Milhouse Doesn't Live Here Anymore" was on February 15, 2004.

But her last appearance was on "TV Land's 2004 TV Land Awards" which was on March 17, 2004.

I remember she, and fellow "Jeffersons" co-star Sherman Hemsley, won a award, I don't remember for what, but Hemsley had to hold her hand as she walked to the stage to get her award.
