Tony Granato, who has been the head coach for the last season and a half, will work along with Jacques Cloutier as assistant coaches to Joel Quenneville. Any Avalanche fans wanna chime in on this? Seeing as he was so underwhelming here in St Louis, I found it hard to imagine he would get a head coaching job with a pretty decent team, I always figured he would latch on someplace like New York, or someplace else where the talent wasnt performing or they had a lot of young players. The Avs took a step forward in replacing Granato, but they aren't going anywhere soon.

As someone else said, the Conference had some awesome teams and the blues never went out and got even a decent goalie. And if you're going by those standards, when have the Blues ever had a "great" coach, considering they've never won it all?

Quenneville is a big media darling in these parts, but I haven't seen too much of him to warrent such praise.
