Suzuki, Reigns, Haas, Booker & Cena might all be in the hunt. Although who know, they might be settling Cena vs Angle up for Summerslam. Anyways, I think over the next month we should get some exciting Smackdowns with the title changes and Angle & Big Show returning. Promote this thread! | | BigVitoMark

As much as I don't wanna see Luther in that spot, it's as close as they can get to a Cena vs. GM Angle match as they can do if Angle himself faces Eddie. | TL_Hopper

I do think they are trying to move Cena away from the belt, so he can go the next level, I'd wait for WM 21 just so the fans can go happy. My problem with the US title is they didn't do it right. WCW had the stipulation if you won the US title, you got a World Title shot that is something I want to see restored. I think its a bad move to have Kurt face Eddie when he really does owe a job to Cena. | mikebuk

I'd think a tournament would be held leading upto Summerslam, with the final being held at the event itself.
I'd see the usual suspects of Booker T, Rene Dupree, RVD (and any other wrestlers whose names rhyme !) along with Luther Reigns. He gets away with those earrings well.
A bit Pat Butcher, if anyone non-UK here was seen Eastenders ! | johnroche

Well, Hogan was in the tournament for his vacated World Title, as were both Andre and DiBiase (the other two principals in the events leading up to the tournament). So, it's not entirely unheard of for this to happen.
Personally, I'd sort of like to see them do what TNA did to crown the NWA champion. Either that, or do some sort of round-robin setup where it's 2 points for a win by pinfall or submission and 1 point for DQ or count-out (or 1 point for both guys if the match is a no-contest/double count-out). They could set the whole thing up in the weeks leading up to Summerslam with Booker T, Cena, RVD, Rene Dupree, Luther Reigns and Kenzo Suzuki, and the two top scorers could have the deciding match (US Title final) at Summerslam itself. | madiq

But unfortunately, since Rey is holding cruiserweight gold, he will probably not be in the tournament, although the storyline of him seeking double gold would be a nice one. I think Rey should belong in the US title hunt. He's proven that he can pretty much go with anyone.
Myself, I'd like to see him drop the Cruiserweight title to Jamie Noble. Then have Rey move on to the US title. | jk
