I love this show, but I must say I am sick of the whole Teri/Kim thing. I thought when they got saved by Jack, that would pretty much be the end of it. But now Teri has amnesia and Kim is lost out in the woods. Just ridiculous. I was happy when Jack was meeting with Palmer, and getting info from Ellis, and bascially back to being a super-agent, but now I'm sure he will be the concerned husband/father again. 8 episodes to go, right? Also, has anyone hears about a series for next year or anything? I don't know how they would do it.

I keep meaning to talk about the last two episodes, but I forget what I want to say when I do.

You know, as the Keifer family drama has gone downhill (pregancy and amenisa! And how does Kim not die in that car explosion? That doesn't seem physically possible, but she ended up with less scratches than the Rock did. ALSO, why is it that no one's even bothered to mention the possiblity that the kid may not be Keifer's? Is Kim this dumb?), the Palmer family stuff has picked up steam. The Senator was rocking two weeks ago, and his kid was the most intersting he's been all day last week. The daughter's actually back, too! Less of his wife, which is sad because she was good but had little new stuff to work with each week.

It really was annoying that they managed to pull a character out of thin air and killed him off in one episode because I guess they couldn't figure a better way to write that. Still stunk.

I wonder what's up with Alberta just vanishing like that? Not happy with her role?

Milo's cool.

Um, the Nina interrview scenes were cool, but you knew the moment she was replaced with someone we didn't know, people were going to die.

I haven't liked the last few episodes as much as I did the ones before the escape - it really feels like they ran out of things for some people to do, while others are being paced okay. Nothing as cool as Jack's escape from the steel mill, or him taking over the limo, or the escape itself.

I thought the show this week was pretty cool. I loved it when Tony saved the day, but he made it from the office to the house in less than 8 minutes? Oh yeah, that real time stuff comes back to bite them. Well, not really. At least she is safe and Kim is in police custody. Hopefully the rest of the shows are more about Jack and less about them. What the hell was going on in the previews for next week? Is it the X-Files now?

Why wouldn't Jack live close to his work?

I was TOTALLY expecting George to punk out 24 (since he was telling him EVERYTHING) and was so relieved when he didn't.

But I have GOT to stop watching the previews because they ALWAYS include something that happens in the last minute of the show! GAAAAAAAAH that's annoying. Also, I say this EVERY week so I think the problem is probably more with *me* but...

like how they showed the doctor getting shot in the previews for this week's episode? i would like it if they saved a bit of the drama/surprises for just the show...i could also do without the overdone tear-jerking moments, but with kim and teri separated, at least it will be confined to the palmers. but it was a good episode, so i really shouldn't complain too much.

Agreed about George, I was waiting for him to pull a gun on Keifer when his back was turned. And let me agree with everyone who's tired of the Kim/Teri plotlines. Hopefully they've finished with the "Bauer women in peril" now that Teri's in Tony's hands and Kim was being made a guest of the DEA(I think I saw that on their jackets.)

So I guess Palmer and his son were heading off to turn Keith over to the cops?

Rumor (actually USA Today) has it that they will renew 24.

Teri and Kim have to be in danger every hour. Otherwise there's no point to having them on the show.

I think the first episode showed that Jack lived somewhat close to his office. But it still makes no sense. Jack's house looks suburban. His office is somewhere in LA. Plus, it's a Tuesday, since the California primary is going on.

Tony zipped over to Jack's house in 8 minutes without hitting any traffic? We ARE talking about the tail end of rush hour in LA, people.

And Mason can't be the CTU mole, since they've been teasing it the whole season. I have my guesses as to who the mole(s) are, though.

"You have the right to remain silent."

That was probably the coolest part of the past three or so episodes. Hate to use the term, but I freakin marked out for that.

I have guesses for the mole(s) too, but they're kinda far-fetched.

Tony was pretty darn cool and I was expecting George to shoot him about five different times - I think the writers purposely hinted at that happening all hour just to screw with people.

But if Tony's not the otherMole and we're assuming that if George was the otherMole he'd done it already, so who does that leave? Nina (who probably also had a dozen chances over the last day, though they might be able to forget them - and if she was Jamey wouldn't have known, of course) and Milo (and he's the guy who's looking for the otherMole - when he's actually on the show.) Neither looks that promising.

Nice to know that if Palmer's son is like his dad, his daughter is a lot like his wife.

A secret prison underneath a field? Ok, I guess I can accept that. The Victor Drazen being alive thing was pretty cool. No wonder his kids are doing all this. So Teri has her memory back and is in CTU, so she's safe, and Kim is safe in jail. Well, until she beats the crap out of Melanie. Not to beat a dead horse, but when Tony called Nina, didn't he say he was 20-30 minutes away? After getting to Jack's in less than 10? And how about those previews? Palmer goes from happily married to being with another woman in a span of about 12 hours. Nice.

Personally, I was pretty happy that Josiah "Doc" Skurlock and Jose Chavez y Chavez were reunited on my TV screen.
And I thought for a second that Kim was going to lie for Rick again, making her the dumbest person on the planet.

I called bullshit on that right away, but then, during the montage at the end, they show Tony and Teri dropping Michael Gross (I know it's not Michael Gross, but I don't remember his name and he gives off that Michael Gross vibe) off at the hospital. So I guess that little plot hole can be conveniently filled by assuming he was accounting for a stop at the hospital while talking to Nina on the phone.

Good episode this week, and next week looks to be Action-Packed!

I had that Young Guns flashback when I saw LDP, too. And I would tend to agree with Kim being the dumbest person on the planet. I was glad to see that they actually explained the part of the preview from last week, where Jack gets shot with the darts. I thought that would be what the show ended on, but they had that at the beginning. Next week, here, it is actually going to be the right time (the show is on at 8 in central time zone, it is 8 on the show). Ah, the simple joys of life.

I liked this episode - one of the better ones of the second half and it was nice that everyone's TV reporter and their mom mentioning that Dennis Hopper was going to be on the show didn't really ruin much - but I can't think of much to say about it.

I'm thinking this Mole thing is a red-herring and I'm guessing that phone number never gets called.

EDIT (because when I wait for someone to post so I can post, I typically forget what I wanted to say OH CRAP NEXT WEEK'S OFF I forgot they were going to do that at some point so the final hours could be in Sweeps)

Okay, Kim in prison bit? I think the word I'm looking for is trite but LAME could work so well. And I was getting ready to come on her and peg her chances of actually making it to CTU at around .01% but thankfully they didn't dangle it out there for us to assume till the next episode.

This means there MUST BE A MOLE, because outside of some wild concidences (and this is TV [and, HEY, some other TV show we talk about is gonna ask us to believe some wild concidences next week so we don't turn on Ric Flair yet, this isn't a foreign concept] you never can tell) there's no way they would have known where Kim was going to be. How they had the truck and all that prepared, I dunno.

That all made me laugh for some reason. I'm cruel.

What else? The whole massage thing didn't play as big a role as it appeared, but there's a lot of inneuedo they keep tossing out about something like that in the Palmer storyline - tough to believe they could even start to get into it and get close to a resolution in three hours though, so I wonder how they're going to do that?

(Actually, two hours - obviously it's gonna be one big group scene for the last hour and all the non-terrorist plots will quickly melt away. Hmmm, you think maybe this is the last time we see Rick? I was disappionted that Milo was seemingly replaced by a random extra.)

The CTU boss who's name I forgot was all "What Would Jack Do?" by sending in the troops when he clearly wasn't supposed to - and Chappele's speech did a nice job of not giving a reason to call off the troops without actually actually telling us if this is a some sort of government consiparcy (or just government spin.)

Anything else? (This is totally not 24 related but I'm typing this and watching Don Baylor slowly (though with that David Bell homer speeds it up a bit) lose his job, and it's kinda funny - like how Jack agreed to let go of Alexi if Alexi's son let go of the Warden, and then they shot the Warden anyway.)

I think that's it.

Another pretty good episode. Kim's little speech to the girl about what she'd been through and threattening her was actually pretty funny. I was really hoping for the last 3 hours to be Jack and Palmer, and get rid of the female Bauers. But I guess that won't happen now. Maybe it was the girl with the pot that alerted the Drazens about Kim's movement? She did say she would "get Blondie". I was getting used to seeing a new episode every week, so next week will be hard.

i was so irritated that bauer didn't shoot victor drazen... but i guess that would kind of ruin the rest of the show seeing as they probably would have shot and killed jack in return.
i don't know what a serbian accent should sound like, but seeing andre drazen speak and comparing it to how victor drazen speaks, i'm thinking that dennis hopper sounds more like he's from sweden or some scandanavian country than from serbia.
it's weird, when kim was in the police car, i kept waiting for the cop to turn around and say something about how she won't be seeing her mom and that she had been re-captured. thankfully that was taken care of by a few masked men hiding out in some vans.
anyhow, the story has really shifted away from any attempt on senator palmer's life and the drazens seem to have forgotten their primary objective. i'm guessing that may change, but i'm defintely excited for the last few episodes.

EDIT: i was watching major league this weekend (please refrain from sarcastic comments) and noticed that someone looked very familiar to me. it was pedro cerrano, who just happened to be played by the same person who graces our presence as senator david palmer each tuesday. for those of you who already knew that, i don't really care. and i'm sure he's been recognizable in other movies/tv too since i checked imdb.com, but i just thought i'd pass it along.

Sorry, I know this thread is a little old to reply to, but the show hasn't been on in 2 weeks. I thought last night's episode was decent. I think I was more excited by the previews for next week than by the show itself. Victor shooting his friend's daughter and later his friend was pretty freaky. I should really write this stuff down right after the show, because I can hardly remember what happened.

Well, who is the mole? I mean, it is going to be "shocking". Nina? Tony? I think Mason is the obvious choice, but I don't know if they'll go that way.

i'm really starting to like mason. his comments to teri were pretty funny. i was pretty happy with last night's episode. the only thing i have a problem is with senator palmer's wife and his speechwriter. i refuse to believe that someone can be that stupid. oh please, by all means, have an affair with my husband, i don't mind.
but i'm being nitpicky, and i'm really looking forward to the last 2 hours.

Last night Kim said "Hey, Teri's still pregnant, right?" and I was all "OMG I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THAT"

...which probably means I could be a writer on that show. ba-dum-bum
