I picked up the new album by former Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson and his band, the New Earth Mud entitled 'The Magnificent Distance'. I'd recommend it to anyone that digs your more "jammy-hippy rock" ... Much like his first solo disc, Chris kinda stays away from sounding too Crowes-esque and is much more mellow (guess that's what having a hot-ass wife will do for you).

Saw him on the Letterman show last night - dude looks kinda scary and makes me want to shave my beard lest *I* end up looking like that.

I often wonder that myself ... I think the Crowes were starting to cement themselves as a "could-be" legendary band ... 'Lions' is an awesome record.

Lennon should've been so lucky.
