Over the last two years, Tiger has made around $9.6 million dollars and won six tournaments. Three of those wins came at World Golf Championship events, which carry more weight in the world rankings. Tiger may not be contending in majors, but he's hardly playing badly enough to fall out of #1. Also keep in mind that Tiger had a HUGE lead in accumulated points, so he's still a ways away from working them off (though I believe Ernie Els can pass him if he wins a major). | chuckc14

I think I actually heard Johnny Miller say that Els could have passed him by winning Sunday and Tiger finishing 16th or worse (or something like that)...I know Vijay is close too, and Micklelson is bound to be within shouting distance by now. Mickelson did move up from 5th to 4th this weekend, passing DL3. Don't get me wrong, I still think Tiger is the best golfer in the world when he's on, but he's not playing like it lately... | dunkndollaz
