5 Indiana
1 Duke 7:38

3 Arizona
2 Oklahoma 7:55

10 Kent State
3 Pittsburgh 10:03

12 Missouri
8 UCLA 10:20

hmmmmmmmm. I think Kent State has a great chance against Pittsburgh... but for my bracket hopes i think Pitts will pull it out.

I'm looking forward to Arizona against Oklahoma. If Arizona can manage to win then that might make for an easier game down the road for Mizzou.

Indiana looks good but i think Duke is just too powerful.

Go Missouri!

There hasn't been a better assembly of talent in any game this tournament than there will be tonight with the Mizzou-UCLA game...However, are these two amazingly talented teams well coached?? That's debatable.

Hmmmm...I have Ole Miss winning this game...that's strange :-)

Missouri report: UCLA next for tough-again Tigers
March 17, 2002 staff

Missouri is charging into the Sweet 16 as if the trauma of its regular season -- and a 13-11 record since mid-December -- never happened.

Wesley Stokes, front, and Jeffrey Ferguson celebrate Missouri's 93-80 win over Miami.(AP)

"Right now," said Missouri coach Quin Snyder, "this is an incredibly hungry team."

The Tigers ousted fifth-seeded Miami and then blew the doors off No. 4 seed Ohio State 83-67 to advance to the West regional semifinals in San Jose, where they will meet something of a mirror image -- UCLA, another supremely talented team that lost its way during the regular season only to roar again in March.

UCLA, the eighth seed in the West, is coming off a double-overtime victory over top-seed Cincinnati. Missouri is merely the 12th seed, a statement about how a season with so much promise hadn't panned out. The Tigers, once ranked as high as No. 2 in the polls, suffered from erratic point guard play, a lack of flow offensively and questions about toughness.

One-time national player of the year candidate Kareem Rush didn't have the season he dreamed of and wasn't on anyone's All-America team. He put up numbers (20.1 ppg) but even the 6-foot-6 junior admitted he didn't take over games like he needed to.

But all of that is behind the Tigers.

Missouri is in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1994 and is looking for more.

"Those guys are dangerous because they're unconscious," said Ohio State guard Brian Brown. "They shoot the ball whenever they feel like it."

I know I know.... Sportsline Site. But i thought this was a good article. Quin Synder is still new to our team... but as a coach k. protege i think the Duke blood is coming out in him. He led our team to two strong victories and i think that he has developed a very strong tournament team.

I dont know too much about the UCLA coach other than he doesn't receive a lot of respect from UCLA fans. They stop hounding him when he's winning... but the moment a sm. losing streak starts they are firing on him again. I read that somewhere but i cant find the article. UCLA has a strong team.

And down go 2 of my final four teams, including my national champion. Oh well. Now I root for a Missouri vs. Kansas final. Either that or a Kent St. vs Southern Illinois final. Either way, I'd be happy. Of course the likelyhood of either happening is almost nil, but I can dream, can't I?

That'll teach you to bet on those damn Dukies.

And hey, I love Arizona and all, but that beating is just payback from screwing Wyoming over! GO POKES!
