So. I created this account for lurking purposes only. But when I saw this, I just had to break my silence. Observe:
411, June 8, 2004:
Morale backstage is very low right now, especially on Smackdown. Much of the talent is upset with WWE's recent attempt to create a dress code for the talent.
411, June 10, 2004:
Despite the low ratings and poor TV, the Smackdown wrestlers continue to have good morale due to the fact that the mostly young crew gets along very well. Everyone is a bit less stressed due to the fact that Smackdown has far less political battles than RAW.
Wow, what a difference two days makes! In fairness, I should tell you that the first item was credited to 1wrestling and the second to the Torch. But still. If nothing else, it should tell you how you can't believe anything you read anywhere.

Well, I was out back before the 05/29 Smackdown house show, and if they're trying to put in a dress code they're failing miserably.
I know I'm not the only one on this board who thinks 1W has a penchant for embelishing stories that paint things in a negative light for WWE. I've never thought much of them as journalists, with or without Scherer. Either way, stories on the supposed morale of the different locker rooms seem to change quite regularly, so I wouldn't put much stock in what either side reports.
