It gotsta be Full House.

Sorry, it's 5:30 am and Nick at Nite is on my television.

Sure, there may have been stuff worse, but most of those don't last longer than a year or two.

I always thought the continued run and sucess of "Wings" was pretty inexplicable, seeing as I've never met anyone who actually liked that show. (Although it did launch the career of Tony Shaloub, so it wasn't totally worthless.)

I think Nick at Nite is rerunning that show, too. Man, they used to have standards.

I don't know what the length of time minimum for this is, but I remember that Unhappily Ever After (the Married With Children clone on the WB) lasted WAY too long. It was so bad.

Honorable mention goes to Family Matters.

I actually started watching it in college, of all places, when USA ran it at 11 and 11:30 am. So I liked it.

As far as long-running sitcoms, I think my disdain for Friends is well known.

Green Bay's very own Tony Shaloub, thankyouverymuch. Go Monk!

Damn straight. That show just irritates me...shows how just out-of-touch I am with the culture, man.

I ahve to agree with Grimis, "Friends" was just bad, especially after the first two years. "Threes Company" has to be up there also.

Perfect Strangers.

An overly annoying man annoying another overly annoying man...

...and the supermodels that love them.

I swear, if I see this show while stuck in a waiting room, and I'm not allowed to change the channel, and I left my book, my GBA, and my Discman at home, sad music should play somewhere for me. Hopefully not on my Discman, 'cause that would mean somebody mooched it and is wasting the batteries.

I would have to agree that "Friends" was really bad, I have a feeling that "Joey" is gonna suck just as much.

Also, has anyone here seen "That's So Raven", dear lord what a terrible show

We have told our kids that the TV is to be a "Raven Free-Zone" much like it was a "Barney Free-Zone"

"Perfect Strangers" gets my vote as the most annoying show of all-time.

and I can't believe that I am actually agreeing with Grimis on a TV show but I liked "Wings" - it was a mindless 30 minutes that was always better when Antonio Scarpacci was part of the storyline.

Did Arli$$ have a long enough run on HBO to be under consideration? If so, I nominate that.

It's a shame, too...becuase it was such a tremendous premise and they screwed it up by being incredibly unfunny.

I was a huge "Wings" fan. I still can't explain why. It shows up weekly on CMT Canada and I watch it periodically.

Okay, I had a crush on Crystal Bernard. I think it was the accent.

Did you see the SNL sketch which started out like a drug commercial for an insomnia cure, but turned out to be for the first season of Arli$$ on DVD? Hilarious.

Hey, what about "Home Improvement"? Not only was that on too long, not only did it make us have to look at Jonathan Taylor Thomas everywhere until he grew out of his cute, but they basically did the same show every single week: Tim has a wacky mishap on his show, does something to piss his wife off, tries to fix it but makes it worse, gets some Zen advice from his neighbor, "hilariously" misquotes it but it works anyway and we reprise the wacky mishap. Bloopers!

How about "Mad About You"? Wasn't that on WAYYYYY too long? I cannot believe Paul Reiser's career lasted that long.

Paul Reiser in 80's movies (Aliens, Beverly Hills Cop) = great. Paul Reiser in everything else = not so much.

God damn, I'm sad, but I liked Perfect Stangers. And Wings.

Laverne & Shirley. Apart from small doses of Lenny and Squiggy, it was Television Death.

Full House is tough to beat, though, as it chewed up and shat out the careers of Bob Saget and Dave Coulier, spawned the Olsen Twats, and inexplicably lasted ten years.

And this will likely be an unpopular choice, but I hated hated hated The Wonder Years with hammers.

Three words. Who's The Boss.
Another three words. Facts Of Life.

(dis)honarable mention:
Whats the show with the fat guy with the hot wife? Where he is a UPS driver or whatever. THAT show sucks balls. NOT funny at all. And, the chick isnt really THAT hot, annoying accent and way too much makeup. Looks like a whore. (Just my humble opinion) Same goes for Everybody loves Raymond. I think it is safe to say anything that was on UPN or the WB sucked.

I enjoyed "Wings" even though it was basically "Cheers" set in an airport. It still makes me laugh today (3 AM on Nick@Nite). If they would show "Perfect Strangers" alongside it, then I'd be very happy.

As for shows that are on the air now that I don't "get", I'd have to say "King of Queens". I just don't get that show at all. Kevin James doing standup is occasionally funny, but the show seems to be the same four plots rotated around. It's rerun around here constantly in syndication, and my roommate thinks that it's hysterical.

I never understood the hoopla over "Home Improvement" either. It amazes me that it was constantly in the top 10, and almost caused the cancellation of "Seinfeld" (a show I also have issues with, mostly because of oversaturation). I thought that Tim Allen was a one-joke comic (men are pigs) and the show was right along those lines.

According to Jim? Still Standing? The King of Queens? Yes, Dear?

I HATED-with a fiery passion- "Family Matters". I wanted to punch Urkel in the throat every time I saw him. I tuned in once near the end of the series run, and Urkel had created a robot clone, turned into a stud, and got the girl, and I just about lost all faith in sitcom television.

Urkel ended up being The Ziering from Family Matters anyway, so it all worked out in the end.

Yes, thats it. All of them.

Also, I am assuming Saved by THe Bell is a given.
