I'd be shocked if the Sens hired Murray (or his brother Terry for that matter). Murray has never taken a team anywhere in the playoffs and that is, or should be, what Ottawa is looking for. They've done well in the regular season the last few years but can't get it done in the post-season. Murray is not the man to change that.
In my view, the Sens need someone unlike Jacques Martin, i.e. not another quiet, soft teacher-type. The Sens are good enough, but need someone to instill that drive, desire and sacrifice, the essential grittiness that is required to win the Cup. I have come to accept that Ted Nolan will never get another NHL job, but someone of his ilk would be good in the Nation's capital.

Ted Nolan would have been the perfect choice for that team, but given that John Muckler, the guy behind Nolan's black-balling in the first place, is running the team there is no way that was going to happen.
Bryan Murray is useless if your goal is the Stanley Cup. He's had better teams than the current Sens (ie. the Red Wings in the early 90s) and couldn't win a thing. Most definitely not the answer, making me as a Sens hater plenty happy with their decision.
