An Internet site, [http://members.fortunecity.com/phineasbog/nemesisscript.html], has posted what it claims to be a complete script for Star Trek: Nemesis, the tenth Star Trek feature, due to be released on Nov. 22. It opens with Captain Picard arriving for a wedding reception for crew members Riker and Deanna and announcing, "Now I know that on an occasion such as this it is expected that I be gracious and fulsome [sic] with praise on the wonders of this blessed union, but ... this is all a damned inconvenience." (The wedding of the two Star Trek characters in the movie has already been leaked on a number of other Star Trek sites.) The script's purplish prose and the misuse of such words as "fulsome" would seem to raise doubts about its authenticity.

I'd say it's about as legitimate as Harry Knowles' claim that he actually SAW a rough cut of Episode 2 (For the record, I'm firmly in the camp that believes he simply read the script as many of the "details" the usually very descriptive webmaster provides are way too vague.) He's been known to fabricate stories in the name of hits and gaining "geek credibility" in the past. | odessasteps
