looks like he will make a retutn to the WWF very soon as the WWF.com confirmed he was backstage for WM18. Possible rival with Angle again. Ryan Shamrock was also backstage at WM18.

The wrestling business is as political as it gets. Now "paying your dues" and getting held back are to completely different things. "Paying your dues" is basically like an examination period for a younger wrestler. Being held back is completely different. Now as far as the big question; "Should a Wrestler stop paying his dues one getting to the 'big time'"...no not in my opionion. Now if your an established talent, like Raven for example, you shouldn't have to. But when guys like Jamie Knoble and Rany Orton come up, they should, because if they stopped "paying their dues", egos would get larger by the second.

Um, was that posted to the right thread?

I'm not at all surprised Ken's interested in returning to the WWF. He'll certainly fare a lot better there than in actual shoot promotions...

Well, isn't Don Frye still in the hospital from their last fight?

Frye won by decision. There's been rumblings that it was a work. But general consensus is that Frye can and did whoop Shammy's 'rana throwing ass. Frye being in the hospital is news to me. Then again, I don't...ya know...pay attention...

Frye only won cuz he got some shots in on Shamrock in the beginning of the 3rd. Shamrock fell, but popped right back up. If the 3rd wasn't only 5 minutes, though, I think Frye would have lost. It ended with him trying to get a shitty leglock on Shamrock while Shamrock had a decent one on him. Frye won by split decision.

I still haven't seen the match yet, but from the pictures I've seen Shamrock's face look like he got hit by a brick. And if I remember right, Frye hurt his leg (forget which part exactly) as a result of the match, which adds onto the leg injury he had been ignoring.

Wait a minute, since when do they have decisions in these things? I thought if they go to the time limit it's a draw. Of course, I haven't watched shootfighting since Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock fought that hour long snooze-fest that ended in a draw.

PRIDE always has decisions.

Shamrock looked messed up, but Frye couldn't really stand all that well after the match. I'm not saying Shamrock won, but he sure didn't lose. I don't think I could have made a decision were I a judge. But I think it's safe to say that Shamrock would have won had the 3rd round been as long as the first two.
